New Husky Logo - All White Version

We get the fact that huskies aren't all white... that isn't the point. The point is to keep the tradition and "uniqueness" of OUR white husky. OUR husky that has been a part of 11 NCAAB championships. This small change can be the difference between keeping our look unique or making us look like the rest of the pack.

Our logo hasn't been a husky. It's been a Samoyed. Time for a change
 
Like both. Edge to the white one.

We're all going to get behind the official one anyway though.

You could make the argument that the current logo was an all white Siberian. It looks Samoyed because of the poofy-type hair but how can we tell? Unless you're basing it off of Herbst's comments.

This is a stupid conversation, I know, but I'm really trying to justify the all-white husky here.

No you can't. Look at these and you tell me which it is. Herbsts statements were based on the fact that the guy who designed the old logo said it was designed to look like his Samoyed.

I don't need to look at them. I already have. We could go on forever about this, point is, I like the uniqueness of the white husky.

That's a totally different disscussion than we were having. No one challenges your feelings about wanting a white husky logo. We were discussing the fact that we never had one to begin with. At least not in the last 20+ years
 
I like the all white for all the reasons stated. It's just part of the M.O. Personally, I always thought the old husky had a psycho look in his eye, so was plenty "mean" enough!

Never noticed the difference. But when you compare them, all white is much better. More solid and in your face. Besides, the lesser Huskies of the west has the toupee thing going already.

Stupid statement. You're conveniently forgetting about the fact that EVERY OTHER logo we've had is of an all-white husky. The samoyed thing is a copout.

I like the new logo and was mixed about whether Penfield's whiter one was better. Now there is no question in my mind that the official one chosen by the school is better.

Most people here didn't want KO either. Some still don't. F 'em. Bring on the new era.
 
it is what it is... it will grow on people that I am sure.

its not like the old logo is going to disapear think about how many fans have *vintage* apparel now

Has anyone attempted to share this with UConn Marketing? It's a simple change that makes a world of difference. I think the all white version is something the fan base would support and be proud of.

This is a zillion times better. Maybe they have both, but purposefully leaked the blue one first to to gauge reactions? Where is conspiracy kitty...
 
My solution: Take a cue from Oregon & their uniforms of many color combinations. Use the white logo on the blue uniforms (home for football & hockey, visitors for hoops) & the blue logo on the white unis (visitors for football & hockey, home for hoops). Honestly, now that my UConn apparrel has become "vintage or retro", my biggest concern is where am I getting the coin to buy all new UConn golf & tee shirts, sweatshirts, gym shorts, etc. Damn, wish that I was getting a refund from the I.R.S.:rolleyes:
