The all white is much better and it isn't even close.Really?
It needs to be "all-white"?
Talk about nitpicking.
The real one looks a lot better than yours, IMO. I don't know where you get this illusion that all huskies are all white either.
The all white is much better.
I like the new logo and was mixed about whether Penfield's whiter one was better. Now there is no question in my mind that the official one chosen by the school is better. The all white is much better and it isn't even close.
Bump for the Pen-Husky and for the OP figuring out a way to get an extra 30 likes on the cheap.

This is a zillion times better. Maybe they have both, but purposefully leaked the blue one first to to gauge reactions? Where is conspiracy kitty...Someone asked me to start a separate thread for this.
In my opinion the husky logo needs to be an all white husky. This is what made our husky unique. This is what made the UCONN Husky different from all the other huskies out there.
There are a lot of changes coming for our university and our teams over the next couple months. New Conference, new rivals, and now a new husky logo. Let's keep at least a little tradition - the all white husky.
I know not everyone will agree with me but if you do let your opinion be heard.

Please show me a Uconn logo in the last 20 years that was an all white husky. We had an all white Samoyed as pointed out in a bunch of previous posts. I'm not suggesting it wasn't all white, just that it wasn't a husky. Mascot? Yes. Logo? NoStupid statement. You're conveniently forgetting about the fact that EVERY OTHER logo we've had is of an all-white husky. The samoyed thing is a copout.
Has anyone attempted to share this with UConn Marketing? It's a simple change that makes a world of difference. I think the all white version is something the fan base would support and be proud of.
Change to an actual husky which, for the record, looks absolutely nothing like the other husky logos I've seen. Perhaps they are out there but not at North eastern, UW, NM and the couple of others on that folks on this board have referenced.Change to look like... everyone else.

Understood. However, i was responding to pepband99 suggestion that its ALWAYS been an all white husky which, as you pointed out, hasn't been true for 40 years. Why wasnt he complaining then? That would be impossible because we have had two versions of basically the same logo since 1980.
If you go back further we had 3 all white huskies before the 80s.

Up = UConnAll im trying to say is if you think of the UCONN Husky which image comes to mind?
This...
Or this...
They are both Huskies so we can stop arguing about Sammys and Malamutes or whatever else.
I tweeted it to Kyle Muncy @UCONNTrademark, he's the licensing & branding director. I just got a response back - he appreciates my enthusiam but respectfully disagrees.
If anyone wants to tweet him go right ahead.
The same number of huskies that carry rifles and dress in Colonial-era attire. For all those making the point that huskies are not "all white", please explain just how many huskies are partly navy blue?
