Does anyone recall a time when 9 players were rated at 98. A'ja Wilson is the new number 1 and Ekmark moved up tp 7.

Nevada at #8.
Wow, when was the last time NV had a top 10 player?

In 2012 & 2013, not a single person in the top 100.

We are recruiting 4 out of the top 5; 6 out of the top 10 (including Ekmark verbal) :D:D

If I'm not mistaken, UConn has 8 scholarships available (with 1 of those to Ekmark), so hopefully get a lot of hits.

A bit surprising that there is nobody from Chicago or Illinois generally
in the top 60.

And nobody from Georgia! A little surprising!

Appears to be a great class!

Maybe Italee Lucas..... guard who went to UNC... think she was top 10

When was the last time there were two girls named Gabby in the top 10 ?

my opinion is we get Calhoun, Turner and if we are really lucky Wilson, but the Cali girls stay home and play for Stanford.

Calhoun, Turner, Ekmark. Right there is a great class.

Duke will have three California players on next year's roster.

Why would you have that opinion? When has Stanford ever had a stranglehold on elite California talent ???

I think I'm correct when I write this. Peach State Hoop employees/coaches are no longer involved with Hoopgurlz and their evaluations. Could that explain why there are not Georgia players at the top of the rankings.

We're recruiting 1, 2, 3, 7, and 10. Who else?
Thought we were looking at Drummer, #5 also???

Also in the article yesterday that someone posted in another thread, Gabby Williams #8 mentioned she had talked to UCONN. But I haven't seen anything from the Horde on her ???

Swin and Tamika were two gabby girls . . .

Oh, you want named Gabby.

JS, sometimes you make me want to "climb the rough side of the mountain", with your professional assistance, naturally. Pro bono, daffinately.

We got a great guard / wing / small forward in Courtney for 2014. Anyone have any idea which way will go ?One thing i think that makes Geno such a great recruiter is he never locks himself into position. He will take the next hardworking, unselfish girl. I would like us to try for Katie Lou Samuelso 2015. I know, the older girls went to Stanford, but who knows perhaps she wants to go elsewhere and make her own way.

Anyway, I hope we run Syracuse off the court. I just don't like them. I still remember the tripping / kicking incident. I just don't like their coach !
GO UCONN GO !

I think our chances of getting Samuelson are about as good as finding snow in Hell. Consider the Ogwumike sisters

Sal...a note to Geno would save him time, money, and effort. He may not have your inside/quality info.

Unless, of course, he adheres to the theme of sometimes a great notion pays off.

While I agree that Samuelson ends up at Stanford there was a recent interview with Kenny Kalina, a recruiting analyst, who posts on the 'yard, who spoke about Katie Lou and her wanting to be her own person and make a name for herself. Maybe Kenny can jump in on this discusion and give his opinion.

I stated an opinion based on having watched the HuskyNan recruit Site for the past 3 years and watching the Hoopgurlz site for about the same time. According to The HuskyNan recruit site results we rarely if ever fill the desired quota with the players we have sought to draft. Players from CA Taurasi, KML , Lauren Engeln, Houston. Not a large number.

With all due respect you did say that Uconn's chance at getting Samuelson would be like snow's chance in hell.

I'm not sure, but that might calculate out to zero. Ozzie's point was that the odds are not that bad or Geno wouldn't be recruiting. I don't think Geno wastes his time on recruits he has no chance with.

I will say that Chiney O was really torn and loved UConn.
