Keli Leaupepe of Loyola Marymount.

Looks like he should be a Rugby player but he can move and ball.

Like a modern day Charles Barkley but has a mullet-like hair do.

Watching the same game and can’t agree more. Not only does he have flowing locks, but he’s pretty damn good.

I hate the call where he got his fourth foul.

Post player catches and spins without moving towards the hoop and the post defender falls. Ref calls the charge. BS. The post player didn't move in to the defender, they just did a pivot and spin. I hate the soccer flop and wish the refs would enforce it more.

Speaking of favorite players, anyone check this sophomore (Kofi Cockburn) out yet? Was peeking at their game and he takes up the whole TV screen.

7' 285lbs! How the hell do you create someone like this?

There was a time where kofi would probably be the number one pick in the draft. He’s better than high picks in the early 2000s like Eddie curry, Kwame Brown and those types. Now he’s a second round prospect at best.
regardless, a monster college player.

Can't tell if you're joking or serious?
Haven't seen his body of work, so I'm really clueless. Saw a lil bit of one game and he was hard to miss.

What am I missing about him (college basketball speaking)?

Every time Sanogo shows off his footwork I like to think about how, 30 years ago, he would have NBA scouts drooling over his size and potential. Not that weren’t not excited for his progression, but the traditional big man, save for the outlier freaks like Drummond, have gone the way of the gaucho

@Chin Diesel yes! I've mentioned Leaupepe in a few of my Saturday threads and as a sophomore we'll get to enjoy him for two more years.

Loyola Marymount is a team poised to keep building their program. They do lose their star and leader, 6'6 245 senior point big Eli Scott, but none of their other starters are seniors. They've also recruited higher profile guys, scoring four top-300 players between the '20 class (current starting guard Jalin Anderson) and three in the '21 class.

Bottom line, LMU should be a very fun team to watch in 21-22. Overall, the WCC is building up from top-to-bottom.

a favorite of mine, since the very first moment that i saw him against us, is chuck harris, now being mentioned for all big east rookie team. playa. in the past few weeks, his stats are rocketing. not surprising, at all. in the past 2 games, he played 39 minutes in each. they play nova today, and im hoping he gets some d time against gilly. mebbe he can knock that guy back into the stands a couple of times, tho common sense would favor that veteran. hey chuck! don't leave ur feet!

Exactly. And even Drummond was traded for a second round pick and now has to be bought out of his contract for any team to want him.

You 30, 40 and 50 year old's have your fun now. All good. When you get to where I'm at, I'll still be here and will be the 1st to welcome yall old arses to the 'what happened to my memory' club!
I'm 75, and barely pay attention to recruiting, but I still remember us going hard after him.

Kofi and precious we were supposed to possibly come our way. We down to one of final few for both- at least one of those guys(cud u imagine them with Bouk ? ) then Illinois through the bag at him and that was it for kofi

Cool guy to root for but wow. These fouls. Definitely getting his hacks in!

Had on off day on Feb 13th though. Love was in the air before Valentines day.

We were a favorite of precious early in his recruitment but the longer it went on the more we knew that he wasn’t coming here, if I’m not mistaken Kofi was our main target and the Illini weren’t even considered a threat for his signature until O. Antigua did what any Calimari disciple would do, i still think kofi should be a husky and would have been 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yikes! I happy with Sanogo so not worried about losing out on Cockburn.

From what I heard Kofi told Hurley he was going to UConn. Kofi still wanted to take his other visit to Illinois and he committed right away to them when he got to campus, heard it was shady.

Yep, the ship sailed on Achiuwa the longer it went on.

I was thinking the other day that Sanogo is here for 4 years and we're lucky for that. At his size, he needs to work on his handle and on anything outside the paint and that'll take time if he wants to get to the next level.

Sanogo is going to be really good. His low posts moves are uncanny. If he puts on his strength and muscle, I see him being an Al Jefferson type of player.
