My son sent me a Pic (the one attached) and then I found one online. Love them.

I suppose this is as good a place as any to comment on CT renumbering exits on all the state highways. Rt. 8 is being done next week, which will surely cause confusion among already non-attentive drivers.

Here in Vermont there was so much pushback for doing this that they left the exit number signs but attached a small mile marker sign to the exit number signs. People have nothing to do except come up with dumb ideas to prove how important they are to the rest of us.

Somebody was trying too hard. And why are there two Cs Connecticut?
I didn't know about this "Make It Here" marketing effort. Apparently the new logo is a C with a T.

"In its place is a new symbol: a stylized and circular letter “C,” whose negative space appears to be a letter “T.”"

It still looks stupid. They can fill the negative space however they want - only one "C" is needed to spell Connecticut. I seriously, don't think anybody explained branding to whoever made those signs.

Reminds me of the bumper sticker:

"Will the last one to leave CT please shut off the lights"

That’s a federal initiative. All highways when needing sign replacements need to adopt mileage markings for exit numbers.

Before the ubiquity of GPS I was 100% in favor of this move. Now it probably doesn't matter, but I still think it makes sense. If I get on exit 1 and I need to go to exit 20, I know it's about 20 miles and 20 minutes if I'm lucky lol

Good Lord I mockingly posted a Cincinnati sign a few weeks ago that did something similar and now Cconnecticut does almost the same exact thing. At least the Cincy one you put outside your home for just your neighbors to see…

The signmaker stuttered. Give him a break.

Yeah, it's more than a little embarrassing that that is my governor.
