I think we need a little positive thinking here...yeah, it stinks what is happening. And it looks bleak. But I refuse to give into the negativity!

With that, I propose:

The Phoenix Conference - where all of the schools left to burn in the wake of all the conference money grab obtain new life by arising from the ashes of their predecessor conference(s).

I'm trying here, I really am. But even I am not buying my attempt to be positive. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

They should sell the naming rights to a corporate sponsor. Something like the Nike Conference wouldn't be bad, but the way things have been going we'd most likely end up with the Tidy Bowl Conference.
