Mullins is too good not to start. Mullins is the best shooter around. Mullins is a tenacious defender. Mullins reminds me of Larry Bird.
Mullins has played 0 minutes against BE competition.
Liam was going to be a top 10 draft pick and dominate on the BE.

Expound or clarify, not sure exactly what you are saying. Sorry if im being dense, still have an OT loss hangover.

Funny enough, I'm actually open to holding hope on Ross' upside. But I really have to see it to believe it. I don't know if it's because you're beating the drum so hard that it's permeated my brain, or the fact that staff still believes in him & I do believe in late bloomers when they hit later growth spurts.

I personally think Mullins is way too good and too good a complimentary fit not to start. We know what we have in Stew, and he makes zero sense as a 3 in my eyes, especially as he fills out. Jaylen looks like the kind of kid that can be playing around 230 at some point. Thick base, strong boned kid. Get him working around the paint.
Stew is such an interesting part of this team. I have no idea how he’ll do as a backup 4.

He seems like he needs to be a high usage player to be effective and I’m not sure how that would work on this team. If he can’t he may be regulated to being a 3 and D guy, both I’m not sure how much he can do on a consistently high level.

He’s talented enough to be one of the best players on the team but I’m not sure if he has the necessary skills to be a consistently effective role player.

Yes to clarify. Hurley will want to see him dominate in games against name quality teams to start him over Stew who was loyal in a time where players jump to another team ever year. He still values that. Time will tell and Mullins has to show that talent to get the nod but it’s just my opinion from observing Hurley all these years.

If you’re saying high usage means running offense through him, not sure I see it. At least not the way he’s played to date, which is taking lots of 3s (50% of shots). I’d love to see him create more offense near the paint, o rebounds and to just fill the box score in ways that a big strong kid like him can.

He’s played that way to date out of necessity. Him at his best (to me) would be more high usage in exactly the way you described.

But I don’t see how that works on this roster.
