I don't like Hartford but I go there for UConn games, so why again are you bringing up how much Hartford sucks? I must have missed the post where someone said it was awesome.

1) i hate this. $105mil public money??? i'm fine spending $$ for sports in ct. but i can spend that $$ alot better and get alot more that ppl would be happy about here.

Lets face it the XL center is in need for improvement and since a new arena is unlikely, this is probably the best thing. My only question would be, even with state of the art upgrades like this will they draw anything besides Uconn games? As it is all summer concerts are at the meadows and Mohegan has top performers all year long.

XL Center, The Meadows, Hartford Stage, Real Art Ways, Cinestudio, Bushnell Park, The Bushnell, Feng, Firebox, Agave, O'Porto, J's, City Steam, Wadsworth Atheneum and Theater Works. And that's just since August. Do you ever leave the house?
