247 is now looked at by football guys as the site of reference. Rivals has really slipped 5 years ago they were #1 for football by a lot.I'm not sure why you put little faith in 247 since 247 was well ahead of the curve over the others when it came to a great many players last time around.
Kelly Oubre, Stanley Johnson, Brandone Francis, Daniel Hamilton, Terry Larrier, Devin Robinson were way way way down the lists on the other services at this time last year, while 247 had lifted them all into the top 30. By the end of the year, most these players were consensus top recruits. 247 was way ahead of everyone in assessments.
Most people who have been on the Boneyard for a long time know the story so I'm not saying anything that can't be said. Here's the short story. Our board used to be on the Rivals.com network. Tom and Fishy decided to take it to the Scout.com board. Rivals.com sued Tom and it was contentious and messy. Jerry Meyer of 247 Sports was at Rivals.com at that time. Tom hates Rivals.com with a passion!Maybe this has been addressed in the past, but for my own info, why not link to Rivals or 247? Undesired traffic flow, or advertising? Also, why cant I reply to your post temery?
Thanks for all the info. Always interesting to know a little more of the back story for understanding the prevailing dynamic.
