Nevada Game Thread

Gabby's guard she wears ... getting old. She have a early injury that convinced her to wear it?

She most definitely walked a country mile. I thought she was ramping up for a dunk attempt :)


Do you think that the hometown woman might get a favorable call?
She and her team quadrupled the attendance. I'd let her have a walk and a couple of fouls.

I think the refs give it on that type of play. Unless she took 10 steps they weren't going to call it when it's going the other way like that.
 
Walker got toasted on defense two straight plays. Was very late for steals and got beat, couldn't move her feet fast enough..

Megan not having a good day on either end of the court. She caused Azura' to pick up her 3rd foul by playing poor defense.

ESPN's box score does not show Molly and Kayla having played in the 1st half.

Nevada out rebounding UConn 19-15. Nevada is playing harder but UConn has just too much talent and doesn't have to exert much energy to overwhelm this team.

on the radio pre-game, they said they doubted it. said they "hope" Lou and Batouly will be ready for Notre Dame game

Nevada is not going away. Love the way they are competing. But UConn has way too much firepower. Nurse, Stevens, and Williams are having excellent nights. If not for Kia’s hot hand, the lead could be 20. Based on other games this season, that’s not bad for any opponent.

I really wish folks would stop comparing WBB players to NBA players. It's just ridiculous to compare Z to KD. Like comparing an excellent dog track greyhound to Secretariat.

Probably because we don't have a Kayla on the team. There's a Mikayla and a Kyla.

Thanks Bags. Makes sense to be careful in a game she is not needed.
