-Welcome aboard, Rocky!
- Seeing you appear on this thread obviously makes you a harbinger of great things to come 27 Feb!
-Tell that guy on your right you’re too important to us now to be ignored…
- If he doesn’t shape up to your liking, just hand him over to the ‘Yarder prognosticators for a free pre-game entrails-exam on the 27th!
Thanks Arty. Had what maybe 3000 equally inane posts on the "Old Board" before I took last year off more or less. But I will pass on the thought to White Feather in the hopes of civilizing him before NCAA time.

It's moments like these you really appreciate UConn's winning streak. Everyone is bound to have a bad night, so for us so go two seasons without a loss is truly incredible!

Are you the same RockyMTblue who posted on the old Boneyard? If so, welcome back!

So let me get this straight.... WVU loses at Providence and wins at Notre Dame...!!! Holy cannoli, Batman!

I saw that Achonwa fouled out having played only 11 minutes...!! ........ And Dev Peters fouled out after playing 31 mins, with 17 boards, so without either her or Achonwa in the closing minutes it must have been a free for all on the glass that WVU was able to control.

Amazing win for the Mountaineers!!!!

#2, here we come

Hey, we are the Big East...we do strange things to each other all the time! :) Even if each other is changing fast.

Anybody see the game? Were the refs not buying Novosel not even attempting a shot just throwing her body between two WVU players and flopping to the floor to draw the foul? :D

WVU clogged the middle very nicely. To me it looked like the rest of Notre Dame was only to willing to have Skylar be the show...the only show.

The box score tells a lot. As mentioned, ND missed a lot of free throws and both Achonwa and Peters fouled out. Look a little closer to see how many shots Diggins and Novosel took and how few assists they had. Not what you would call a team effort.

When we beat W Va, I threw out the question to the Boneyard, "Could Bussie play for UConn?" She got 22 on ND's home floor.

Just finished preparing our soup, put it on simmer, and checked the scores ... HOLY JUMP UP AND SHOUT!!!!!!!!!!

What a day! Notre Dame and Tiger both lose. Good job!

Just shows that any team can have an off day (think 2002 and Va Tech..)
And it's been an ugly week for ranked teams.... At least UConn pulled out the win at Louisville (another ranked team).

WV has only one senior, and a god class coming in, so they should be very good next year, though not in BE
Phil, how do you like WVU's going away present to UCONN?!

was this the first time wvu beat ND they announcers said Nd had one the last 20something games against wvu

Man, if they have a GOD class coming we're in deep doo doo. :)
Not us, not the Big East! Now the Big 12 is going to look really, really bad when WVU wins the Big 12 crown with REAL defense post Griner. The Big 12 may send them back to the Big East!!!!!!!

As long as we mindfull of all of games until then or Notre Dame will be crowing about the 27th.

What you said! I'd like to see consistency on offense and some opportunities for rest for starting 6 (yes, we have a starting 6 - don't tell anyone) before that BIG Monday game.

Hey, I'm a Used Member! I don't feel used... maybe a little soiled, but

Whoop whoop, really gives us something to play for now on the 27th. (not that we didn't before but BE title outright and #1 seed in BET) :)

-Nice post. I have to agree, you’ve seem to have highlighted both real takeaways from today’s ND loss: that shot now at outright BE Champ & BE #1 seed. Huge having a shot now at being outright BE champs.

-What does not seem to change is … influence on final national ranking. Thus far, that #2 ranking appears now, just as it did prior to today’s game, still to hinge entirely upon both (1) the result of UConn-ND 27 Feb,… plus (2) how they both fare in the BE tournament (3) thereby still meaning there is still no importance whatsoever regarding which team is # 2 next week, or the week after.

- Think that’s’ about right.

PULEEZ NCAA DEMIGODS...do not preordain 4 games between UC and ND before the NCAA finale!

We lost to the top two teams in the country. They lost to an unranked WVU team. That's gotta be worth moving us up a spot. But like Geno says rankings aren't all that important.

DEK we lost to two teams in the country ... but we were different then, we're older than that now. I just hope we do not play down to the competition in the coming week.
