From what I see, if you beat someone higher in the rankings, you go up. If you lose to someone lower in the rankings, you go down. Since we didn't lose last week while ND lost to an unranked team, we move up simply because ND will move down a spot or three.
 
Don't love being on the road the week before the ND game, but the schedule should not be too challenging. Kia is coming on and I think UC has the best D in the country. So, yah, we can beat ND. It is in our team's hands now.
 
Will the NCAA make sure ND and UC play each other 4 times this year too!?!

yeah, that was very uncharacteristic for Diggins to miss all those FTs (82% shooter?)
 
Really hate being a new member. Look at the guy on my right...he won't even look at me. Guess I will just have to post a,lot of inane twitter like posts about birds...or the ursine bunch.:D
 
This is WV's biggest win in history, their previous best was against Rutgers, at home. So not only did they knock off the #2 team, they did it at ND.

WV's previous best away win was over #5 Louisville.

WV has only one senior, and a god class coming in, so they should be very good next year, though not in BE
 
ND has to down to louisville and okay them they could lose that game as well
 
Whoop whoop, really gives us something to play for now on the 27th. (not that we didn't before but BE title outright and #1 seed in BET) :)
 
Frankly, maybe it is my naivete but I did not understand Diggins killing so much time on the clock with 34 secondsto play...with the back up plan being foul them???? So maybe they should slip a rank or 2.

They are not the same team..........Louisville has ND at home soon.........They might have 3 loses before UCONN
 
Why are they not the same team? Have they lost anyone? They were rolling along pretty well.
 
Anybody see the game? Were the refs not buying Novosel not even attempting a shot just throwing her body between two WVU players and flopping to the floor to draw the foul? :D

Thanks Arty. Had what maybe 3000 equally inane posts on the "Old Board" before I took last year off more or less. But I will pass on the thought to White Feather in the hopes of civilizing him before NCAA time.
 
It's moments like these you really appreciate UConn's winning streak. Everyone is bound to have a bad night, so for us so go two seasons without a loss is truly incredible!

So let me get this straight.... WVU loses at Providence and wins at Notre Dame...!!! Holy cannoli, Batman!

I saw that Achonwa fouled out having played only 11 minutes...!! ... :eek:..... And Dev Peters fouled out after playing 31 mins, with 17 boards, so without either her or Achonwa in the closing minutes it must have been a free for all on the glass that WVU was able to control.

Amazing win for the Mountaineers!!!!

WVU clogged the middle very nicely. To me it looked like the rest of Notre Dame was only to willing to have Skylar be the show...the only show.
 
The box score tells a lot. As mentioned, ND missed a lot of free throws and both Achonwa and Peters fouled out. Look a little closer to see how many shots Diggins and Novosel took and how few assists they had. Not what you would call a team effort.
