Notre Dame is able to lose by one in regulation, may be an issue to stay in the Top 25.... preseason ranking was #22. Ohio had received zero votes (points) in the preseason AP poll, with Texas, South Dakota, FSU, & UNC in the 26 on back position waiting to pounce..

I read that those 3 (and maybe another player) were not going to play due to injuries. None major, as far as I could tell.

Update:

Those 3 all recovering from off-season surgeries. Two other players out in what sounds like COVID related absences.

Ouch. I think Gilbert is their best offensive guard. She has the most diverse game. They have literally no post players except for Westbeld who is a freshman. Hopefully they can get healthy soon.

I thought Dara could have been a good addition to the Irish when she was a freshman. She's had a better career compared to the two PGs Muffett targeted ahead of her ( Jenna Brown and Jordan Nixon). I hope she sticks it to Muffett and has a good two years at ND.

To be precise, Coach Ivey stated that the two players that sat today are, “health related that she can’t disclose.”

ND Game Article: Irish Drop Season Opener, 86-85, in Final Minute at Ohio No comment in article on why Brunelle and Vaughn didn't play.

Turnovers the only significant difference in stats. Ohio 11 turnovers ND 18. 25 Fouls called on Notre Dame seems like a high number for them.
