Notre Dame had four chances at its first 2 points of the game and that has been the way it has gone ... no surprises just plain old wanting it more

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think that anything we say on this board contributes in any way to the outcome of the games. But yes, Stanford will be a tough out.
 
Not that this is a surprise{I predicted ND to win easily by double digits} but I thought Maryland was better than this.
 
As much talk as there was about Achonwa going down, I really think that at this point in the tourney you can win it with great guard play. ND's guards are really, really good.

Wow. Maryland is throwing in the towel. The goal on defense is to stop the ball. Hello...stop McBride!!!
 
I can only hope if we play ND, we don't just stand there and let them get offensive board after offensive board.

That MD post player didn't even move for the rebound.

Good point! Guards definitely do the heavy lifting this time of year.

There have only been a couple of questionable calls for ND. However, nothing could make up for the way ND is dominating this game. They were better prepared and in a better state of mind.

After not even moving for a rebound, that same MD post player (Howard?) jogs back and gets beat down the court by Reimer for a lay up.

Slow motion.
 
I thought MD had a solid chance at the upset because they had finally been playing some solid basketball. I completely forgot my core mantra "Brenda Frese cannot coach." "Brenda Frese cannot coach."

Can we just call this at the 10 minute mark and start the UConn game?
 
Yes...and we get to play a great coach tonight and another great coach (should we win) in the final.
 
This is what happens when you start handing out 1 seeds to the SEC like they are on sale.

Baylor probably should have been a 1 over USC or Tenn.

This goes to show how laughable Tennessee was as a 1 seed. Maryland owned them, and is now down 23 to a team without their best post.
