Didn't someone here said that none of the ND players would make the 2nd team for UCONN ? Sure looks like they can play.

There were predictions of a 30-pt win.

Abysmal half, considering who they're missing and that we're at home. Hard to see how we'd be favored in a neutral site game with both teams at full strength.

Tied at the half. The worst half of defensive basketball I have seen UConn play in a long time.

Can we play some defense already...Letting this freshman and het sister just have their way. Gee!

Perhaps the worst half of defensive play by the huskies in a long, long time.

As Geno said a week ago, after tonight this team will be a different team than it was last weekend.

Tuck needs to have better decisions in the 2nd half. Drive inside to the bigger players....

Not ready to panic just yet. We have to see what sort of adjustments are made at half time. ND is playing the best defense I have seen against the Huskies and we need to hit some outside shots so we can spread the floor. ND is also passing the ball and moving it around to get open shots better than anyone else has done against the Huskies also. They may actually be a more dangerous team with the small four guard line up.

We need to go to 3-2 zone and box out for defensive rebound, this will take the air out their hot shooting spree.

ND 7-10 on 3 Point Shots, that was the only way they ould win. UConn not getting as many points in hte low post that I thought they would score. If this game continues to be a jump shooting game, ND can pull off the upset. Previously posted Gabby was ineffective on defense and that allowed Mabrey to go off. No one else on UConn has been able to stop her either. Mabrina Mabrey 21 points on 9-11 shooting off the bench. ND has more shooters then UConn, but UConn should be able to take advantgage of their size ND 20 Rebounds UConn 16

From the looks of things of how ND is playing without their two bigs.....wow! Sure hope they don't get walker.

Seems pretty obvious after these last two games that the best way to play UConn is to go with smaller, quicker, guard/wing oriented lineups.

The over and under for the number of times the announcers mention all of ND injuries is 30. 3 minutes into the and there have been 4 different mentions/discussions about all of their injuries. Most of the people watching the game realize that Turner and Reimer are not on the floor and don't need constant reminders.
You knew Burke was going to harp on this as her "script" for the game. I realize Butler and Boykin are not starters, but it'd be nice (fair) if she once mentioned that UConn isn't 100% either

Besides the unsustainable 3-point shooting, ND has 4 more rebounds and 3 fewer turnovers than we do. That is potentially 14 points right there. We might not be able to control the hot shooting, but we should be able to control our turnovers and do better rebounding.

Stop it. They are shooting 70% from 3!

Two games in a row and about 20 made 3's on 50% shooting between two different teams.

At some point you can't chalk that up to sample size. We are deficient at defending the perimeter, which plays right into the other team's "David strategy".

ND 7-10 on 3 Point Shots, that was the only way they ould win.

As I noted the other day, Purdue shot 13-22 from three against UConn in 2012 and lost by 30. It isn't only the outside shooting that is making this game tight.

Yeah the blueprint has been drawn up. That said, even with blue print in hand, it's still going to be hard to beat this team. I would prefer not to have this game go down to the wire. We don't have a good history against ND in tight games.

Yep, there are more issues thus far than just ND's hot shooting.

The problem is one of entitlement.
And we (Boneyard) haven't helped.
The feeling that we can run everyone off the floor just by showing up.
I think there is a bit of that
Well tell that to the Mabrey kids.

The good thing is that its early December
We'll get over it.
