That makes sense, Edsall trashing guys that are transferring - totally his style. About those issues though, only one of twenty has actually found an FBS home. Do you think that, just maybe, the issue is talent and the portal players want to see the field from somewhere other than the bench?Boy that proves the point. The quote from HCRE2.0 was: "Guys going into the portal, to me, they've got issues."
Would think proving the point would be looking at the 25 transfer guys that HCRE2.0 actually knows personally (kids transferring from UConn) and describing what issues they have. Maybe the prevalent issue HCRE2.0 doesn't like is players who think their current coach isn't very good at his job.

Please!! as I read the statement Edsel was referring to INCOMING transfers. He made no mention of outgoing as he wouldn't be recruiting Uconn students entering the portal. Enough beating a dead horse.
Oh I see, so the hundreds of kids in the transfer portal not from UConn have "issues" (and HCRE2.0 know this how?) yet the transfer kids he does know (his own UConn kids) have no issues. I got it. Makes sense to me, make a generalization about a group but you don't mean your own kids that are in that group. Please!! as I read the statement Edsel was referring to INCOMING transfers. I can think of a certain school that might have had 60 kids in the portal if you were truly allowed to put one foot out the door and keep one in the program. Does your wife let you browse? Here's the part that hurts the kid the most:
While a player entering their name in the transfer portal means they intend to explore their options, it does not necessarily mean they will leave. A player is free to withdraw his name at any time. However, schools are under no obligation to keep a player on scholarship once they enter the portal.
Not good. Once a kid explores the school he's currently at can bolt on him.. Not a good look for colleges... Cattle hurding at its finest.. Sad stuff....

If the kid is not all in, the school should be able to move on as well. Here's the part that hurts the kid the most:

Jacob Morgenstern (CT kid that played at St Luke's then went to Duke) is now in the transfer portal. a nice depth guy, no?
Here's an electric Philly RB that did a year at Salisbury prep school before taking a scholarship to Marshall now in the portal after one year. The staff had some follows on him back in 2018.
Guess Coyle was P5 afterallI just don’t think so. There are plenty of P5 transfers available and if you can sign 4* and 5* recruits as well, why go after G5 transfers?
Add Alabama State to his choices.I was curious about Marvin Washington.
He said he was recently offered by Eastern Kentucky via social media.
New Haven native appears to me transferring from Michigan to Texas.
