I hope I am wrong, but I think Kentucky is going to demolish Wofford. Wofford will not shoot 13 for 28 from 3 again with the types of 3 attempts they take. I think Kentucky will be up 20 in the first half, and the second half will be garbage time. It's unfortunate that Wofford wasted a night like this on Seton Hall.

Wofford shoots over 40% as a team from 3, 4 guys themselves shoot it at least 41%. Their star is a bonafide curry product, shoots it from anywhere and at any angle - he practices it that way. I think he’s only had a few games this year where the shots don’t fall. He averaged close to 5 per game. But one game he went 0-9 against Kansas. IIRC Kansas big man went down with an injury, led KU to us a 4 guard lineup, which is what really shut down the shooting. But that opened things up for Jackson inside, so if no Washington, could be issues. Either way, Hoover, Murphy and McGee rarely all have off nights.

Think the key for Kentucky is to withstand haymakers and respond. Like you said, pressure them, run them off the line. But what IS going to happen at some point, is a big run. In all of Wofford loses, they still manage to throw upst 17 point runs in any given minute. I hope for Woffords sake Kentucky’s young guns get flustered, cuz this Wofford team is really fun to watch. Anyone who went to bed early last night missed out.

Amazing that Cuse even won that one championship. You have to roll the dice that you don’t run into a team that is shooting well 6 games in a row if you’re going to only play a zone. Statistics aren’t on your side.

I'm not exactly breaking any news here but what the zone does is increase the variance of outcomes. This is why we have seen crap Cuse squads upset their way to a tournament run, and also why some great Cuse teams have been upset early. For the life of me I have no idea why you would want to zone a team that is inferior athletically but that's JB.

Well UConn and Memphis have actually to start winning again. It's on them that they are not. But I think they will be back with their good head coaching and recruiting.
Damn Cincy had a home game for all intents and purposes and are losing by 5 with 19 sec left.

Wow, that might've been the worst first round game to bet the favorite. Iowa is a tough, tough 10 seed.

yeah its unfortunate and their players are crying now. I don't know if this is all on Cronin. I thought he should've gone a little more 3-2 (not 2-3, so they could reach 3pt shooters) zone after Brooks fouled out as Garza just went to work in the post. Or maybe full court press more, although they don't really do that too much.
But Cincy had open shots that they just couldn't make (i.e. Jenifer to answer Wieskamp's dagger that put Iowa up by 6 with under 2 min).
