Now, that their season is over. I will be honest and give you my perspective as a game watcher.

I never got the feeling watching Oklahoma that Verhulst and Beers liked playing with Chavez.

At the risk of going a bit off topic, someone on Reddit made a chart showing the point of origins of the starters on each of the sixteen teams in the Sweet Sixteen. In other words, it's showing each starting player's original school that first recruited them and put them on their roster.

It's obviously easy to tell what some of the teams are, and somewhat harder to figure out the identity of some of the other teams:

Am I crazy for thinking Michigan matches up better with Texas than most?

They have Brook Quarles-Daniels to theoretically bother Harmon, have an elite wing in Olivia Olson, plenty of size on the perimeter, and a strong team defense.

Texas is the favorite and probably wins but this upset wouldn’t floor me. Michigan’s been knocking on the door of beating an elite team all season.

Largely, you need not to give Harmon wide open mid range jumpers.

What is really distressing is when their big guards other than Madison are hitting contested shots.

I feel like Chavez shares some of the endearing and infuriating qualities of Arike Ogumbowale. At times she can be electric but most nights she takes too many ill-advised shots too early in the clock without trying to run a set or get her team involved.
