We can't keep our bigs out of foul trouble playing one at a time. Now we are going to play them at the same time? Singare better be stretching his hammies.

Personally, hoping Antric Klaiber is available for 4-5 mins tomorrow, like it was 1999.

I usually root for the BE teams, but in this case I'm happy to see Pitino gone. I just wish they could've lost to someone better than Calipari. Both of them are slime balls.
It might've taken Calipari to get your wish. I know people on here and in the basketball world wax poetic about how great Pitino is, and he is an all time great for sure whose coaching ability I respect a lot. But a lot of the same people on the Boneyard trash Calipari, and yes he has his short comings for sure, but Calipari is 9-2 against Pitino in their last 11 games.

I think it’s silly to assume the fix was in for SJU. What happened was what a lot of people thought would happen. A team that plays an extremely risky style of ball (miss every shot but get the rebound and try again) finally got bitten by it

I wasn’t rooting against St. John’s but we all knew their “defense “. Wouldn’t work as well in the tournament

Their defense didn’t let them down.

They shot 28% from the field and 2-22 from 3. No defense wins with that offense.

As difficult as it may be for some to accept, our current BE membership is a business arrangement, no more, no less.

St. John's (because PC is insignificant) is the closest thing to a rival that UConn has and most of this board is cheering for them to win. Everyone will be pulling for Creighton tonight and they are our nemesis.

For giggles, imagine UConn getting the ACC invite. Are we cheering for Duke? Or Syracuse or BCU?

The New Big East is just a "business arrangement" until we can find a better "business arrangement."

I think people are happy for two reasons.

1. He's kind of jerk

2. More importantly, if we do happen to move on in the tournament, the team that had our number is no longer an obstacle.

Settle down on the Big East is family and we should be rooting for everyone. I get what you mean but in the end, as UConn fans it's okay to be selfish
I'll root for all the other Hockey East teams in the NCAAs, even though I hate BC, because I don't hate any of the HE coaches. Pitino, however, is a different matter......a recruiting cheater, a womanizer, a Noo Yawk look-at-me "personality". Screw him and SJU.

It was reffed kinda like a BE game with tons of fouls but both teams got players in trouble.

Pitino/StJ on Fallon

So it wasn’t a mid major but they just reeked of a paper tiger that was living off BS press clippings and hasn’t actually done anything. My brackets enjoyed every second of this one.

Don't underestimate the weight of expectations. All year long they were the gritty underdogs. Expectations were low so there was no real pressure. The last month or so things changed they went from gritty underdogs to a team that was expected to at least challenge for the final four. They felt tge pressure today and wilted.

st. jonh's faced 3 teams from power conferences that made the ncaa tournament -- georgia (9 seed), baylor (8 seed), arkansas (10 seed).

they went 0-3.

dorthy, we aren't in the poverty church league anymore.

So much for St John’s , can’t believe Ruff was wrong ;) about a team must be built through the portal.
