Between last years benching of Luis, then this years forgetting about Prey in the 2H…lots of questions about old man Pitinos clutch coaching decisions in his senior years.

Amorality aside, Pitino is really good. I sometimes forget that the Johnnies were irrelevant for so so long.

The media tries to make it a Hurley vs Pitino thing, but after the 2023 season Hurley was asked about Pitino coaching St. John's and Hurley was supportive. Hurley said Pitino coaching in the Big East would make the conference stronger and he was all for that.

Tremendous coach, but a total sore loser. He barely said 4 words to Scheyer, just like Hurley when UConn blasted them in Hartford. Love Hurley or hate him, he is terrific after a game. Handles himself well in the handshake line and lauding his opponents. Like someone said....One Sweet 16 to show for it.

He's a bad guy. Hell of a coach but not a good person.

Calhoun had him and Calipari right. Cal's shtick is with a wink and a nod because he knows he's ridiculous. Pitino buys his own BS.

If St Johns actually shot 50% they would have won. They shot 40%.

My point is St John played basically the best game they could have played (shooting) and lost. The better team won tonight.
