I get that St. Mary's is cold, but Vandy needs to at least get in the same zip code on defense when SMC has someone lined up for a 3.

We lost to a tournament team that was ranked most of the season. Is it really that hard to believe that the same UConn team that lost to two turnips like Colorado and Seton Hall also lost to Memphis? Are you really struggling with that possibility?
Memphis was also missing their point guard, no? Plus another starter was nowhere near 100% with an ankle injury. Memphis was on fumes and CSU was favored in the game.

I get running your offense and playing at a deliberate pace, but SMC just burns shot clock standing there, then starts their offense with 15 seconds left. That is not playing at a deliberate pace, that is just making it easier for the defense.

S E C. S E C. S E C.

How did a Vanderbilt team that was this bad defensively win 8 games in the SEC?

Fun fact: SMC played 2 bigs for the whole second half, making up a 12 point halftime deficit, in part because SMC got better looks from 3. Which poster on this board has been saying that since Carlton and Whaley were on the team?

Evidently, BY SEC analysts only like to discuss games when they are behind. Don’t know much about 7 seed Saint Mary’s (behind to 10 Vandy at the half). NC is in trouble against Ole Miss (down 21-38 as I type this). Hoping for some BY analysis of these games too.
Vandy went down and got flipped by St. Mary's. Ole Miss is way ahead but -8 over the last few minutes as UNC attempts to make a game of it. Stay tuned for more SEC floppage.

The 2025 what if sports national champs St Marys comes from behind.

It's over.

You can't be implying the committee got it wrong by placing Memphis at 5 and CSU at 12.

I think we took the wrong guard from St. Mary's. I would loved to have have

Augustas Marciulionis on this teeam.

He has good size and is strong and a lefty to top it off. I guess he wasn't in the portal but definitely would of been a great fit with this team.

Still plenty of time left but a shame that Penny has his best team while at Memphis and one of his best players goes down in the AAC tourney
It's why picked Colorado St because Tyrese Hunter was out and with a boot on his foot and he was not going to play in the NCAAT. I feel worse for Tyrese.

Fun to hear Jay Wright put Seth Davis in his place.
Davis went on a mini rant about hurleys attitude and the weakness of our team.

Wright: oooh some words from the media guy. Dan Hurley is a stellar coach, a great dude, and the team is better than you think.
Davis still holds a grudge that UConn beat Duke in 1999 and 2004. He never will let it go.
