Forgot how putrid the rest of the league did that tournament. Maybe the league wasn’t as good as you thoughtI think the best conference I ever saw was the 2011 Big East. It got 11 bids and its 9-seed won the national championship. How did that conference perform? I still think this is the best conference I ever saw.
1 (1 seed) Pitt: lost in Second Round to Butler
2 (2 seed) Notre Dame: lost in Second Round to Florida State
3 (4 seed) Louisville: lost in First Round to Morehead State
4 (3 seed) Syracuse: lost in Second Round to Marquette
5 (6 seed) St. John's: lost in First Round to Gonzaga
6 (5 seed) West Virginia: lost in Second Round to Kentucky
7 (6 seed) Cincinnati: lost in Second Round to UConn
8 (6 seed) Georgetown: lost in First Round to VCU
9 (3 seed) UConn: won National Championship
10 (9 seed) Villanova: lost in First Round to George Mason
11 (11 seed) Marquette: lost in Sweet 16 to UNC
Or, and hear me out, given that it's prone to somewhat random outcomes, perhaps a single game eliminate tournament isn't the best way to judge the strength of a conference.Forgot how putrid the rest of the league did that tournament. Maybe the league wasn’t as good as you thought

And this is more true just about every year (except for the UConn games the last couple).Or, and hear me out, given that it's prone to somewhat random outcomes, perhaps a single game eliminate tournament isn't the best way to judge the strength of a conference.
Seth Davis is a dork who has always reached and sought out any little thing he could find to criticize or belittle the Huskies. Glad to hear Jay Wright put him down.Fun to hear Jay Wright put Seth Davis in his place.
Davis went on a mini rant about hurleys attitude and the weakness of our team.
Wright: oooh some words from the media guy. Dan Hurley is a stellar coach, a great dude, and the team is better than you think.
Imagine getting to the Sweet 16 as an 8 seed because the entire SEC was overrated by multiple seed lines.I'm feeling differently about Florida. This conference is not the juggernaut that this conference paid to be able to say about this conference.
If I recall he was one of the few Illini who had a decent game against us (albeit mostly in garbage time).I really like Dain Dainja on Memphis. This guy barely played for Illinois last year. There is a lot of talent out there that coaches just do not recognize or appreciate.
Could have been fifteen but mighty Texas didn't make the first round............We are not talking about a single game though. The SEC is going to play 14 games in the first four and first round alone.
Of the early games, I am rooting for whatever outcome keeps Hubert Davis in Chapel Hill longer.
Got a link?Fun to hear Jay Wright put Seth Davis in his place.

By all appearances, noMount St. Mary’s. Is that a college team?
Game speed. Get the feel back. But you don't play him >20 mins, if even that. What is the benefit of playing Flagg against a 16 seed?
If it was my team I'd be holding my breath every time he movesGame speed. Get the feel back. But you don't play him >20 mins, if even that.
After the injury he didn't have ice on it or a boot, seems a case of it looking more serious than it wasIf it was my team I'd be holding my breath every time he moves
Why is that a shame? No love lost for Hardaway, Memphis, or the AACStill plenty of time left but a shame that Penny has his best team while at Memphis and one of his best players goes down in the AAC tourney
Because I grew up a Penny fan, I don't give a damn about no AAC grudgesWhy is that a shame? No love lost for Hardaway, Memphis, or the AAC
Makes senseBecause I grew up a Penny fan, I don't give a damn about no AAC grudges
