I thought both teams played good defense. Memphis played a little tight in the last 10 minutes.

We lost to a tournament team that was ranked most of the season. Is it really that hard to believe that the same UConn team that lost to two turnips like Colorado and Seton Hall also lost to Memphis? Are you really struggling with that possibility?

Evidently, BY SEC analysts only like to discuss games when they are behind. Don’t know much about 7 seed Saint Mary’s (behind to 10 Vandy at the half). NC is in trouble against Ole Miss (down 21-38 as I type this). Hoping for some BY analysis of these games too.

I've seen that over the back called on Mcneeley a dozen times and still don't think its a legit foul. The Memphis player barely even made an attempt at the ball.

Today looks more like the UNC team I've seen all season but they've also been getting drilled and then stage a major comeback in the 2nd half so this one might not be over just yet.

I have watched them this season (Chris Youngblood, who didn’t have a good game, played at South Florida last season so I saw him a last year. Alabama can be quite erratic. I think Sears plays a lot of hero ball.

Did anyone else question how much dicking around the refs did with the clock at the end of the game?

I watched the in-bounds play with 1.1 seconds left a half dozen times and still can't understand how the Baylor guy could make the catch and the MSSt. guy was able to go around another Baylor guy to get to him in 0.6 seconds.

Baylor easily ran over a second off the clock before the defender got to him.

Then they give them time on the clock after the missed FT saying MSSt. called time out as the ball was caught. They took off 0.3 seconds.

SEC refs?

It took way too long at the end of the MS State game. Then MS State had one last play and they botched it anyway. They could not score on a catch and shoot and that is what they attempted. It had to be a tip in so not sure why they didn't at least try a tip in play, impossible as it may have been.

well yes, but if they miss all their shots with the slowest possible offensive tempo, then the other team can’t take as many shots which limits how much they can get beat by.
