NCAA proposing major changes to eligibility rules, including age limits

I would also like to see a NIL cap after a second transfer. (Courts would probably strike that down)
I would also like to see a rule not allowing players to follow coaches to their next school if the coach leaves in the middle of a contract. If the coach is fired, that's different.

So guys will be able to play 5 years now? Makes no sense.

Should stay 5 years to play 4 and evaluate injury exemptions on case by case basis.

Do we really need too see 24 year old 5th year seniors competing with 17 year old freshman?

Here's a crazy idea.

You get five years from your high school graduation/18th birthday to play four years. You can transfer once without sitting out or if you manage to get a coach fired or hired away, you can bounce. If you're a foreign player, you have five years from your 18th birthday to play four.

If you go to the NBA and fail, enjoy the Polish B League because you cannot come back to college.

Oh, and academic progress will count. You gotta progress towards a college degree.

Five years, Six Years, let's control the new and empowered athlete, generating millions for a university

... meanwhile

In 2020, the overall 6-year graduation rate for first-time, full-time undergraduate students who began seeking a bachelor’s degree at 4-year degree-granting institutions in fall 2014 was 64 percent. That is, by 2020, some 64 percent of students had completed a bachelor’s degree at the same institution where they started in 2014. The 6-year graduation rate was 63 percent at public institutions, 68 percent at private nonprofit institutions, and 29 percent at private for-profit institutions. The overall 6-year graduation rate was 60 percent for males and 67 percent for females. The 6-year graduation rate was higher for females than for males at both public (66 vs. 60 percent) and private nonprofit (71 vs. 64 percent) institutions. However, at private for-profit institutions, males had a higher 6-year graduation rate than females (31 vs. 28 percent).

You can't discriminate based on nationality.

Jesus. That is stupid.

They don't have a traditional high school system in a lot of countries so you have to have a separate rule to deal with them.

Lmao, you really think European counties don't have traditional high school systems?

This is up there with your Michigan will tear us to pieces take

You can't discriminate based on age in hiring practices, either.
This is true. But i think they are considered independent contractors and those usually aren't covered by age discrimination lawsuits. I dont know how it applies here though. And I could be wrong based on a technicality

Too lazy to look this up but does this apply to guys on religious missions?... EG no more 26 year old married guys?
