NCAA increasing number of allowable regular season games

Maybe Geno can get something started with Arizona State? I know they’ve been pretty much a joke since Charli Turner Thorne left but I’m predicting right now that their new coach is going to turn them into a contender. She is the real deal!

I love the idea of seeing more games, but I don't like the added strain on our young athletes' bodies.
This. And Paige on a podcast saying what Sue & Diana said during the final four, is that the WNBA season needs to be moved a bit later as the turnaround from NCAA to the W is a grind.

I must have missed the part that explains how squeezing another game into the regular season accommodates schedule flexibility.

Pretty awesome! We are seeing the increase in high school basketball games over the past few years. Great to see the NCAA is following the trend.

Now a UConn - AZ State Men's - Women's Double Header would be pretty interesting - Dan & Bobby have never faced each other as Head Coaches.

I for one would love to see the ASU vs UConn double header home and home series. Could care less about not scheduling South Carolina as I would rather our ladies see them in the Final Four. Would be nice to see Duke again. Or a Washington and Oregon series at some point. California and Stanford as well.

What they should do is start the season 2-3 weeks earlier so that the schedule can be more spread out. The reason we don't have flexibility is because they try to cram the season into as few weeks as possible.

I agree. Why not? Makes sense to me.

Maybe in the past, for now with an expanded roster with every member being a capable player minutes can be spread out. The alternative, beating up on each other in practices. The coaches, the players, the fans and the bank account would rather have games. You can practice day after day and have no idea what works until you put it on the line in a game. The hardest part of the season is before the games even begin; the games are the easy part. You have been here long enough to have heard Geno and the players say the games are the easy part. I for one believe them.
