Were I a West Virginia taxpayer I would scream bloody murder at an exit payment of $20 million, and that apparently contingent on a substitute. It is fiscal incompetence. I wonder if Iowa State wants to help? Good Lord.

Supposedly WV pays 11 million and the B12 will kick in 9. Which it will immediately start subtracting from WV's cut of the conference TV revenues, I guess. Add in any entrance fees and other concessions schools joining a new conference usually make and WV will see the financial benefits in about 10 years. Good thing it's a wealthy state.
