NBA Preseason 2025

Busy day

Julian Champagnie had 15 points on 5 threes. Castle assisted every single one. If Champagnie ever gets a bigger contract, he owes Steph part of it

Yep, pretty simple passes but all but one were right in the shooting pocket and hit the wide open shooter.

You do love to draw attention to yourself with hot takes, but a Pistons-Mavs/Clips final? That is definitely an outside the box prediction as none of those teams made it past the first round last year. With the anemic east Detroit has a shot, but the Mavs and Clippers will be lucky to get past the Twolves, Houston, and the SA Wembys, much less Denver and OKC.
Crazy how every time I check to see what the ignored post is it’s a response to something I said.

Really need to get that two way ignore feature. Not sure if these guys would have anything to say otherwise.

And some people were questioning his explosiveness while here. LOL!
There were plenty questioning why he’d want to force himself at PG too. Hope Fox takes all the time he needs to rest his hammy so he can continue to show why.

Kid really knows how to draw two and find the corner. Textbook

Andre Drummond with 7 and 4 in 10 minutes, entering his 14th season. Why do people here forget about AD?

I just can't stand watching the 76ers.

Can someone post a list of alums and where they are playing in NBA (and elsewhere?)

Grizzlies keep dropping like flies, Cam gonna have a bigger role if he can avoid their injury bug

Funniest poll in Boneyard history, thank God we don’t know anything.

Bucks: What’s next for Amir Coffey, Tyler Smith and Andre Jackson Jr.?

Milwaukee Bucks guard Amir Coffey has secured a roster spot heading into the season opener, league sources told HoopsHype.

Coffey is coming off the best season of his career, where he averaged 9.7 points on 47 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent from downtown in 72 games with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Bucks coach Doc Rivers was Coffey’s coach as a rookie on the Clippers and pushed for the lefty sharpshooting swingman to make the roster, league sources told HoopsHype.

Thus, Milwaukee was deliberating between parting ways with either Tyler Smith or Andre Jackson Jr., with one roster spot left.

Over the weekend, the Bucks gauged the trade market on Smith, league sources told HoopsHype. Should Milwaukee not find a suitable trade partner before Monday’s 5:00 p.m. ET roster cutdown deadline, Smith is expected to be waived, league sources said.

Smith, who turns 21 years old on November 2nd, was the 33rd overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft and played in 23 games for the Bucks last season.

As a result, Jackson Jr. is in line to have his $2.2 million salary fully guaranteed for the 2025-26 season after a competitive training camp battle, league sources told HoopsHype. He earned the trust of Bucks coach Doc Rivers and started 43 of 67 games last season.

both Jerome and Pippen Jr out of the early season guard rotation due to injuries, more opportunity for Cam to try to carve out a role

we need a new thread for the regular season but I'm sure if I make it will be chopped up, edited, modified and moved to an RIP forum or some other weird behavior

NBC is going to kill it with the media rights in the NBA.

TNT did too much trashing of the game towards the end. Think NBC is going to do a good job of uplifting it. Their commercials for it have been great so far.

Good read here on how both NBC and Amazon are positioning themselves as the anti of what we've seen the past 15 years or so of the "embrace debate" era. Unfortunately ESPN still holds a large chunk of the rights, including the NBA Finals, and Stephen A Smith's idea of promoting the upcoming season is running around on podcasts to still explain how much he hates Bron because Bron emasculated him in public.

NBC always did the best job with sports when Dick Ebersol was in charge and they did the best job ever with the NBA. They used to have everything and they always made it an event from the buildup, the music, the human interest stories. The whole production was awesome. All of that has been lost in more recent years.

Bring back John Tesh and the NBA on NBC theme music...

You’ll enjoy aceboons post. They’re definitely bringing the feeling back. Love them bringing all the generations together for the promo.

I can’t wait to see it. Looks like MJ will have an “Insight to Excellence” series that may be like Kobe’s detail show. It’ll come on at halftime of the Rockets Thunder game.

I love his post but I can't use emojis here anymore. They basically need to bring back everthing they were doing in the 90's. Getting Jordan to be a part of it is huge for the sport.

Last season the finals games would just start, they got to a point where there was zero excitement for even the biggest of games.

ESPN failed in their Finals coverage last year. No question about it. The TV and in-game presentation for it was awful.

Unfortunately ESPN still has the Finals, but hopefully NBC and Amazon puts the pressure on them to actually try and put a good production on.

I wonder how LeBron is going to feel about Jordan essentially being crowned as King of the sport by NBC for the next however many years with retirement on the way. That segment is going to connect a generation to MJ in a way they didn’t really get a chance to before.

NBC needs to play the full version of it and play it going to commercials and coming back from commercials.

This is great, ESPN really is the worst.
