NBA Preseason 2025

It's kind of crazy how poorly he was coached in college TBH. A kid with that skill set should have been much better.

Agreed except Altman is a good coach and Ware is a 5 star that seems to be one of those guys that tries when he wants. Getting to the league as a non-lotto pick might have woken him up.

Clingan played a few more minutes yesterday (17) but finished with 2 points, 8 rebounds (5 offensive), 2 blocks, and 5 fouls. Hansen Yang also played 17 minutes, had 16 points/4 rebounds/3 blocks, but also 5 fouls and 3 turnovers

Drummond is still around. 13 minutes off the bench, 8 points and 4 rebounds

Tyrese Martin had 12 minutes off the bench. 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists although was only 1-4

Non UConn: Dylan Harper had his debut. 18 minutes, 9 points and 3 assists on 4-6. Wemby had 22 points in 15 minutes in that same game. The Jazz had a fun big 3 yesterday - Ace Bailey 20 points on 8-13, Walter Clayton Jr 20 points on 50%, Brice Sensabaugh (Ohio St) 26 points on 6-13 and 12-12 FT

I thought this was funny - Caleb Love scored 12 points on 3-7. 10 of those points came in the last 2:15. No Blazer took a shot except him for those last 2:15. He missed 4 FTs in that stretch but still made the game winning one with 0.6 left. Very on brand

That's extremely on brand for Caleb Love.

Am I wrong for hoping something happens for Castle to get traded to another good organization who needs him?

Having him compete with Fox and now Harper for minutes at his spot is icky.

Is he competing or playing with them? He could be part of champ if that roster plays out right.

He could be an All-NBA player elsewhere. Don’t know if that happens here. But maybe Fox would be willing to delegate to him idk.

Yup wrong again

The amount of spacing Bailey has to work with compared to Rutgers is night and day, and these two games have been w/o Lauri

I have no idea. The Spurs didn’t need Harper but you can’t not take him if he’s available

If Harper ends up living up to the hype and they all want to stay in San Antonio, feels like you have to just start all 3. One of Castle or Harper is going to lose out on a lot of money that way, hopefully it’s made up for in championships

You for sure have to take Harper if he’s there. If I were the Spurs I’m probably looking to choose 1 of the 3 to move forward with Wemby and selling very high on the other two to bring in a superstar and form a nice big 3.

They have more than enough assets and cap space to get that done and still fill out their roster with necessary role players if they aren’t on the roster already. There’s a team out there that will value Castle a lot and there’s probably better fits for the Spurs if they’re going to have him play the 3/next to Fox.

No point in having 3 young ball dominant guards with only one of them being known as a shooter for floor space.

The Spurs value Castle way more than you do. There's no chance they're moving him.

I’d keep Castle over Harper but yeah, doesn’t seem realistic to have both + Fox + Wemby. That’s a contract nightmare waiting to happen

I mean yeah if we’re picking anyone out of the 3 it’s Castle.

I’m not sure if the Spurs went and got Fox and extended him just to move him though.
Fox won’t be there once Castle and Harper are good enough for 2nd contracts, more than likely.
I’d be shocked if they kept the core together that long. Just doesn’t make sense play style wise. Way too much talent that plays the same position/does the same things.

They don't though. Harper and Fox are fairly similar. Castle is nothing like them.

I don’t know why you don’t want to listen to the words that come out of Castle’s own mouth when he says he wants to play PG.

Why do you want to argue constantly?
Man shutup. You and SJ commented on 3 straight posts without me responding and trying to play victim now.

I was having a regular conversation with REB. It’s you two who want to shun this idea so bad only because I’m saying it.

Proof is in the pudding bossman

Liam had a better game this time around, 5 points and 2 assists in 15 minutes off the bench

Cam also had 15 minutes off the bench. 11 points, he was 2-8 from the field and 1-6 from three but was 6-6 on his FTs

Non UConn - Ryan Kalkbrenner may be a starter, played 25 minutes and did great with 14pts/10reb on a perfect 7-7. Cooper Flagg had 11 points on 4-8, 4 assists and 3 steals but also 5 turnovers. Didn’t realize James Wiseman was with Indiana, 10 points and 5 rebounds in only 12 minutes

Brother, me and Cardiac argue with each other all the time for sport...it's fun.

Listen to the Spurs and listen to people who cover the league. Castle is untouchable. He's going to be one of the best two way players in the league soon.

Clingan with more fouls than points. Dude needs to start playing basketball.

Castle is the last thing anyone has to worry about.

Clingan is entering his senior year. After an injury plagued rookie season, I expect him to settle in as a dominate defender and his improve his offense.

Nobody thinks Castle will be bad.

It’s just the difference between him being Celtics Jrue Holiday and SGA.
