NBA Mock Drafts Thread

A first half like tonight is why he's going in the lottery.

22 year old role playing big men are not going to get picked over him lol.

All our NBA draft experts jump all over anyone who says Mullins should stay another year. I'm of the opinion another year in college could be good for Mullins. But it always seems like the draft experts on the board are correct. At least they were with McNeeley and Castle.
He would be top 5 if he stays

He's likely to be gone. It's a lot of money to turn down and we'll see where he gets drafted in this deep draft.

It's not a badge of honor for our picks to get drafted and go to the G league or not even play - Hawkins, Liam, AJax, Bouknight. Castle and DC were ready to go.

I don't see Reed being drafted period. I know it depends on the depth, but if Adama Sanogo went undrafted, I don't see how Reed is worthy of a 2nd round pick. Adama is at least a class above Reed.

Hawkins is the only real disappointment for me. He just hasn't shot well as a pro. Far too early to tell on Liam.

People on this board don’t care if someone is actually set up to do well as a pro.

It’s not a part of the thought process when discussing these things.

Do you think it affects recruiting? Perhaps not a great deal but I would imagine it does.

This is a loaded class, and there are also a few interesting factors with this draft.

For one, there are a lot of really good point guards. Some of those guys might fall simply because not everybody will need a lead guard in the draft. That could benefit Mullins because he should fit nicely in just about any system eventually.

And because this is such a strong draft, some guys who won’t be lottery picks may decide to take an NIL payday and come back to college for one more year, hoping to be drafted much higher next year. That could benefit guys like Karaban or Reed if a bunch of guys ranked in the 30s decide to play another year.

And this doesn’t relate to UConn, but the tank race is going to be ridiculous this year.

Why do we have to do this every year. So stupid. He’s gone and all likelihood a lotto pick. Shut up and accept it.
It’s the boneyard mad-lib. Replace Mullins with Castle, Clingan, McNeeley, Hawkins, Sanogo, Bouknight….

Outside of McNeeley. These situations are different because these guys draft were at peak heights while being lottery.

If McNeeley thought he was going to fall into the mid 20s he may have made a different decision.

I hope not. But I have nuanced thoughts I’d rather not post about this because it’s mostly speculation and nothing concrete.

Our recruiting has looked “different” and intentionally so it seems. Whether that will be a good or bad thing remains to be seen.
