They’re hanging by a thread but not done yet. He's most likely fired after this playoffs. So you have Hurley coaching the Knicks next season?

Hope you’re right brotha, but the yearly grind with retaining players plus portal and NIL nonsense may get tiresome after a while.Yes he is. He’s about to win his 3rd ring. He was never leaving for the nba it was a bargaining tactic and everyone knows it. After geno signed his new contract he joked that maybe he should’ve pretended he was going to Cleveland to get a better deal.
Some people are just sadBoring.
Boring.
I brought this up a couple months back - I don’t think the Knicks have to lose this round for Thibs to get punted. I think if they skate by here and then get run by the Celts, he’s still out.I’m no NBA expert so someone help me out. If NYK blow a 3-1 lead to Detroit what are the chances Thibs is out and Hurley gets the offer? Can’t be 0% at this point. Time to start sweating again?
It's interesting because Thibs just got a 3 year deal last summer and most people thought he totally deserved it. NYK haven't really underperformed this year (assuming they finish off Detroit). They're just not the same level as Boston and Cleveland. For the record I am a Celtics fan but I am UConn first and foremost. I would be happy with NYK beating Boston if it meant job security for Thibs.I brought this up a couple months back - I don’t think the Knicks have to lose this round for Thibs to get punted. And yes, I think Hurley will get a call.
I’m happy for whatever result happens to give best chances of keeping Hurley. The other possible consideration is that Hurley would not take right now, but if Thibs punted in 3 years, Hurley might. one of greatest playoff droppers of all time, he probably has an all-time stinker due in either game 6 or 7(if necessary)

You're welcome! I am happy that you took the time to acknowledge it!Thanks for this valuable contribution to the thread
Prior to the start of the Detroit series I thought the Celtics would beat the Knicks in five, with two of the Knick losses being very competitive games. Now I doubt the Knicks can play a competitive half against the Celtics.I brought this up a couple months back - I don’t think the Knicks have to lose this round for Thibs to get punted. Terrific 1st round
The popularity of the NBA is enormousFind this hard to believe. I definitely like college better than NBA, and I support hometown pro teams, Pacers/Colts…I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that multiple NBA playoff games of Pacers/Bucks series were blacked out. The word “joke” isn’t sufficient
I agree the product is much better in the playoffs than the regular season and I love that they're letting them play more but it was still much more physical in the 90's and the players rarely missed games.I will start by saying I am a Knicks fan, so that impacts how much I watch. I watched last year until the Knicks succumbed to their injuries and lost in the second round. But even last year compared to this year has been different.
The amount of physicality being allowed and the defensive intensity is up a notch from last year. I am not certain they could play like this for 82 games, there would be too many injuries.
You basically have to get laid out to get a foul called when you take it to the basket. But the product is 100% better imo during the playoffs than it is in the regular season.
I guess that’s what happens when every player is going at 100%. NBA players are the greatest athletes in the world and watching these huge human beings getting into each other full aggression and seeing what they are capable of has to be appreciated.
Still love the college game more but the NBA playoffs are worth watching. Perhaps they should shorten the season and make the games more important, I don’t know what the answer is but no other sport is as different during the playoffs compared to the regular season than the NBA.
I was thinking about that, it’s a good point. When Oakley and the Davis brothers played against each it had to be as physical or more physical. I watched those games every minute of them but could not figure out why I was thinking this seemed more physical to me.I agree the product is much better in the playoffs than the regular season and I love that they're letting them play more but it was still much more physical in the 90's and the players rarely missed games.
The ref actually ejected Cam Spencer lol. The announcers corrected the error immediately, and it elicited a smile from Pat.Is cam Spencer’s bro on the warriors? If not then he’s a doppelgänger. He just got ejected after a double T so the fire runs in the family.
