Lebron quit on his team at the 7 minute mark/4th qtr…..missed a 3 at that point and did not run back on D but walked like a disgruntled child back on D, watch the Spurs miss a shot then the rebound to the Heat and they flew back on offense and missed a shot got a rebound and missed again and never did Lebron come over the half court line…..

Not a good message from a star like that…..watch it again, it's not at all impressive!

, who cares if he didn't haul ass back in that spot. This isn't some rah rah, pee wee league where you go 200% when you're getting your ass kicked. The game was over, the series was over and that's all there was to that.

Dude, too funny. That's all you've got?

Look at it this way: His team quit on him about 5 minutes after the opening tip, so he outdid them by 3 quarters.
Another way to look at it - without LeBron, the Spurs win by 60.

As are the people who seemingly want to blast the guy for anything he ever says or does. I am pretty sure that if he came out and said the sky was blue hewould be criticized for it.

Did you even see Michael, Magic or Larry do it? They were down 17 with 7 minutes left, it's over? I saw some guys on the HEAT playing hard still…...Please you bring something back to me now because you're lost here Strummer…..doesn't matter what your team did according to you, it'a about you!! He quite and he's Lebron - unacceptable! People need to quite s**king this guy off…….

You would have thought he played for UCONN when you read how some posters viscerally run to his defense after a game.

And you would have thought LeBron was Satan the way some posters (ex. You) still talk about the guy even though the Spurs won as well openly rooting against the Heat for the simple reason that LeBron is on the team.

I root against the Heat because of the Knicks Heat rivalry that I grew up watching in the 90's. I root against Lebron because its funny how it seems to matter so much to some people on this board.

You root against bron because he didn't join your lowly franchise. If you had actually watched this series you'd realize this is more on wade. Wade was the guy jogging back, getting cross matched because he is lazy. Four straight finals not bad, pretty dominant actually.

Pay attention and learn to read before you try and quote me. Find where I said that this was on LeBron. And my lowly franchise is worth more than you'll ever see in you or my lifetime. Deal with it.

Wow. Are they going to hang a 2.5 billion banner next to the 1973 title?

Back on point, I never cared much for LeBron until Ray went there and I wanted him to get another ring (or rings) and sort of had to root for LeBron, since the Heat weren't going to win without him playing well. The Decision was stupid and I understand people who resent him for that, and certainly anyone who has had their team eliminated by him repeatedly. But the guy plays the game the right way - he gets his teammates involved, he doesn't take plays off on either end, he eschews hero ball for making the sound pass, he'll take the toughest defensive assignment, etc. When he first came to Miami, he was reluctant to be the alpha dog until Wade encouraged him to do so. He's a guy who would rather put up 20 points and 15 assists than drop 50. When Ray got hot against Indiana, LeBron kept finding him, and I respect that. I hated Cassell and Big Dog sometimes because when Ray would heat up, you'd invariably see them say "now it's my turn" and they'd force up their own shots instead of milking the hot hand. LBJ has never had that problem.

Mau is correct that he did walk back on D after his last miss, I saw that too - but they were down 20 with five to go and it was over at that point, and perhaps the combination of fatigue and disappointment caused his shoulders to drop. He eventually got back in the play - the Heat got a stop and turned around in transition and James was nowhere to be seen on the offensive end either, so he eventually ran back and didn't cherry pick. You can criticize him for that play if you want and it's fair, but it's not symbolic of anything other than the moment when reality probably settled in.

No, but calling them a lowly franchise is incorrect. They're the richest organization in the NBA.

Lowly may have been a reference to the current state of wins and losses, but I agree that's a temporary malady that the richest organization should be able to fix eventually. May need to welcome a new era without Melo and build something new up. All it takes is, say, luring a frustrated Durant from OKC or something with free agent dollars and getting the right pieces around him. Didn't take the Clips long to construct a contender after luring Paul.

I have no problem with the way Lebron played, or anything he did during the series. I want to really dislike the guy, but he's a freak, and he does say mostly the right things in press conferences. I don't care much for the self proclaimed King James crap, but that's just me. It seemed the Heat's problem was of the big 3, only James showed up. Wade looked old, Bosch didn't contribute much, and the bench was awful.

The Heat are talking about adding Anthony. A great talent for sure, but how exactly does he fit on the roster with James? and if Wade really is "over the hill" at 32, then their problems are bigger than adding a non PG like Anthony.

Okay maybe it was Wade and I do not root against Lebron - but it's okay what he did last night? It's okay because Wade sucks now and the Heat suck, that he gave in and walked up court both ways without a care in the world with 7 minutes left? You guys are missing the point…….this is LEBRON, how can he show that weakness, he's a gladiator and I believe he is, he's amazing. But people need to quit defending the unacceptable and quit bringing in other players……..this is on Lebron, one of the best ever!
