The no is, Edey is also really good for a college player three years older than DC and is super strong with a decent set of (robotic) moves.

I think Edey looks like one of the safest picks in the draft at the turn. Not too many guys that big at the 5 can hit 70% ft on volume. And, he keeps improving so in a couple years I wouldn't be surprised if he was hitting some 3s. Tough to root against a guy who's taken that much crap and has always met and exceeded expectations. No reason to doubt him now imo.

If Clingan goes top 5 it'll be bc he's expected to take and make 3s. Funny that's he's jumping about 10 draft slots and cashing in for $5+m on a skill he never had a good opportunity to use in 2 championship seasons.

The nice thing is that this year all the top prospects have to do some parts of it, so we'll actually get to see if Don is 7'3", etc.

Agreed but Clingan does slouch/hunch over a bit so I think he will probably be 7’2+ when measured.

They've been trying to move Capela for a couple seasons now. Seems like they wanted to make sure Okwangu was a clear #1 option first. Not to mention that the Capela player type is not exactly coveted right now.
I could definitely see them taking DC, but honestly they need everything, so who knows.
