My best guessimatefor the Top 5...
Cleveland - N.Noel
Orlando - V.Oladipo
Washington - O.Porter
Charlotte - A.Bennett
Phoenix - B.McLemore
... Provided no trades...
The rest... Is anyone's guess...

This draft is going to make 2000 look like 1996 in comparison.

OMG - Bennett #1 ??? Who saw that coming? Supposedly he porked out since his injury. Maybe he's picked for another team?

Otto Porter JR. is a good kid and has a nice all-around game but #3??? Watching him play against Deandre last year and Daniels was the better player and had more talent in my opinion.

Porter was the most complete player in the Big East last year. Daniels doesn't have his handle, passing abilities or defensive abilities, but the game against GTown was certainly Daniels best game at UConn. Hopefully Daniels will have a similar jump this next year.

Wow, McLemore & Noel outside the Top 5! Crazy!
Noel's injury must be more serious than expected.

Wow, draft is falling apart.

Noel is gonna be traded to Philly for D.Holiday? Holiday was Philly's best player last year.
I think T.Burke & K.Caldwell-Pope will be traded for each other.

bizarre draft... I like Oladipo, and I know this is a poor draft, but how does he go #2? Isn't he essentially pre-injury Tony Allen? Athletic, strong 6-5 guy who plays great defense, hustles, and is raw offensively?

.-.
Bill Simmons is unbearable, dude has a voice and personality truly made for print.
I agree. He was great as the Sportsguy because he was funny. He's not funny at all in this role. While we're at it, how painful is Battier as a reporter?

I was hoping Solomon Hill and Jamal Franklin would go back-to-back. They both went back-to-back in 2011 as well.

Wow - just saw that Steven Adams was the first first-round pick for Pitt since Vonteego Cummings in 1999. I mean, if I had thought about it, I probably would have realized that (although I might've guessed Sam Young went late first). Amazing that they had a first-rounder when they stunk, were great for a while and didn't have one, and then get one when they are kinda blah again.

Your takes get more and more ridiculous. Deandre had a nice little run at the end of the season but I don't know who could have watched the two of them last year and come to the conclusion that he was better than Porter.

just noticed James Southerland went undrafted. I got a good laugh out of Jon Rothstein saying a couple weeks ago saying his "sources" telling him he would go late first round, that was baffling when I read it.

CJ Leslie dropped to 2nd round...WOW...shoulda came to UConn...haha

I was thinking the same thing with Myck Kabongo. Then again, we wouldn't want to have to deal with his suspensions and such.

So let me get this straight....a Canadian is drafted #1 in the NBA draft and there is a reasonable chance that an American is about to be drafted #1 in the NHL draft (Seth Jones...the son of former NBA'er Popeye Jones). What is this world coming to?;)

Here's a listing of early entries... those who were & weren't selected.
Makes wonder what CJ.Leslie, Myck Kabongo, BJ Young, Vander Blue, Adonis Thomas were thinking... among others unselected.

Just did a search on Kiwi Gardner. Since he was one of the least qualified. Interesting mix tape though. Sometimes these mix videos don't tell the whole story :)

I still remember the US making the quarterfinals of the World Cup, advancing further than Italy or Argentina - and then Italy and Argentina played for the next gold medal in basketball.

Once that happened, we were through the looking glass.

Was Phil Pressey on meth when he declared? Holy crap. Shabazz is looking really smart right now.
