I am starting to have a really difficult telling who is joking or sarcastic and who is obtuse.

As a Fairfield Prep alum, this thread gave me a laugh. Maybe don't make an argument if you are in the dark on a topic.

If the staff is willing to take an early commitment from a kid, I am all on board. An early "reach" is probably an indicator that the staff thinks a kid is highly undervalued (check the offers as well) compared to a late reach, which we have seen far too often and is more a sign of desperation.
