Both played critical roles off the bench on final four teams as freshman, experienced some up and down sophmore seasons, and most crucially, seemingly did not have the power in the lockerroom to lead.

Khalid was a sophomore on that 1999 Final Four Team.

He probably has the attitude of, "Last season you guys wouldn't buy in to what I was selling, nobody on last season's team had any balls, and now at a time where every media member with a keyboard is taking shots at the program, you cowards turn and run. duck you."

Do I feel this way? Not really, but it's certainly a sentiment the fanbase and team should be able to rally behind.

Agree 100%.

Guarantee you Shabazz is concentrating on his game. There is nothing wrong with what Shabazz said about the players who left. Shabazz is right. Much rather have a player with heart, courage and loyalty, then guys who cut and run. Say what you want about deciding to play elsewhere, but when the going got tough they bailed.

Lets be honest. It wasn't about studying elsewhere. It was about playing elsewhere.

Seems like any player who looks to his own interest over the school's is a bad guy - no "heart, loyalty, or courage."
Last time I checked the school makes millions off these guys.

They have every right to do what they want to and I hope they succeed.

That being said, looking out for ones own interest over the program is just about the exact definition of being disloyal.

Would they be disloyal to themselves if they didn't look out for their interests? (just playing devil's advocate)

If you ask me, 'bazz has it down. Oriakhi and Roscoe already have a Championship and should be loyal to the team and just focus on trying to get better at this point.
