“It’s kind of crazy to think about playing with those guys, but they took me in, and they didn’t really care that I was younger,” said Bueckers, who has scored 15 points on 9-of-17 shooting over the three games. “When I first practiced with them, I was like, ‘Wow, they’re really, really good.’ I knew that. I would expect that. But I was kind of starstruck by it.”

“She definitely plays older than what she is,” Collier said. “I think the transition to college is going to be pretty easy for her. She definitely plays like a college player.
“She’s super talented. She’s a great shooter and she gets to the basket really well. She’s pretty well-rounded as a player.”

Collier, being the good teammate that she is, has given Bueckers some tips on what life’s like at UConn.
“She said freshman year’s going to be pretty hard,” Bueckers said, “but I know that coming in.”

The national team is also expected to play at UConn in January, but Collier won’t be joining them because she’s signed to play professionally for Fenerbache S.K. in Turkey.
