Worcester may watch the Boston TV stations but that is not the case for Providence. It actually has more more tv stations than Hartford.Worcester and Providence are suburbs of Boston. They watch the Boston TV channels and commute (or work remotely) to Boston (or the close in suburbs) for employment.
Worcester definitely. Definitely not Providence. I live around here and Providence is its own market. They don’t consider themselves part of Boston. They have all of their own Providence based TV stations (CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox). They don't watch Boston TV stations. Not many people commute to Boston or its near suburbs (just Franklin/Foxborough area probably) from Providence. I'm dealing right now with a Providence based tenant who is moving to Boston and they consider this a huge move and most employees who stay with the company are moving closer to Boston.Worcester and Providence are suburbs of Boston. Only time Hartford has a large crowd is the number of times MBB and WBB play in Hartford. That is 16 games? The rest of the time Hartford is a ghost town. Curious to see what some company is willing to pay for 16 times a year.I agree. Somewhere between the DCU Center and the TD Garden but much closer to the DCU Center. I'll be interested to see what they can get.
Hartford “Up and Coming City”. Only needs another century.Worcester definitely. Definitely not Providence. I live around here and Providence is its own market. At the risk of getting everyone going, here’s my suggestionI have no update here but how are we almost at Memorial Day weekend with no new name? I would assume the details need to be finalized by August to be ready for basketball and hockey season?
Wait, they held the final four in Hartford? How did I miss that?Three titles in a row in that building, good timing for a renewal.
Turns out there's 5. How could I forget the AAC tournament? Quite easily, actually. And 3 America East championships.I will look back fondly at the XL era. 5 Final Fours. 4 National Championships. It even hosted a conference championship tournament.
What's wrong with Veterans Memorial ColiseumMaybe no one stepped up. Back to the Hartford Civic Center?
I always thought it was strange that a bank with Toronto in its name own the naming rights to a Boston arena. ( TD- Toronto Dominion)I agree. Somewhere between the DCU Center and the TD Garden but much closer to the DCU Center. I'll be interested to see what they can get.
They bought Fleet (if you go far enough back w the mergers)I always thought it was strange that a bank with Toronto in its name own the naming rights to a Boston arena. ( TD- Toronto Dominion)
The Bridgeport Amphitheater is named Hartford Healthcare and they don't even disguise it like TD does.I always thought it was strange that a bank with Toronto in its name own the naming rights to a Boston arena. ( TD- Toronto Dominion)
They can call it whatever they want, it’ll always be the Civic Center to meMaybe no one stepped up. Back to the Hartford Civic Center?
Actually wasn't funny the first time.
Bank of America bought/merged with Fleet. They bought Fleet (if you go far enough back w the mergers)
Mergers indeed, but it was Bank of America which acquired/took over FleetBoston around 2004. Separately, Toronto Dominion bought Banknorth about the same time. They bought Fleet (if you go far enough back w the mergers)
Shut up, Dove.Actually wasn't funny the first time.
