The Syracuse and Marquette games have made something very crystal clear - talent is great.

Talent with a couple of 23 year olds leading it is greater.

Clearly an experienced coaching staff doesn't help at all.

Tell that to Kentucky. We're just not as talented as you think.

What a response.

There is one duck*ing team out there that makes this work on a regular basis and they cherry pick the top 15 high school kids every year. And you think that passes for insight - gosh, thanks for stopping by, brainstorm.

So predictable, so utterly lame.

Also, they play in a conference.

It's not just a lame response, it's an entitled response, which is perhaps even more annoying.

Experience means a ton. Boatright made about every type of freshman mistake you could make in this game, but he definitely has talent. Overall, experience helps particularly in shot selection, making solid plays and recognizing high percentage from low percentage. Andre very rarely recognizes what is a high percentage shot and what is a low percentage shot. Even Jeremy passed on a good shot and gave the ball up to someone for a lower percentage shot. Experience is incredibly important in college basketball.

Also boxing out is huge and limiting your opponent to one shot. I like Jeremy alot, but he did not do a good job of boxing his guy out.

yep, we lack the experience to be able to know what to do under pressure. I though Napier showed some good play in the second half, not really anyone else though. This team cannot survive so many unforced errors. That T on Boat was just a headscratcher......wow. Will he do that again? Probably not.

As crazy as it sounds Uconn is still in the hunt for the NCAAs. Gotta beat Nova, PC and Pitt. Cuse is going to be very tough obviously. 7 threes allowed in the first half, getting outrebounded by a smaller team in the first half and going 3 for 9 from the line in the first half did us in. I go into every game very hopeful that we will snap out of it but it is just not clicking. By the way, is this like the 8th straight game the opponent has banked in a 3 pointer against Uconn?

Boatright and Drummond played like freshmen for some reason. I can't figure out why, perhaps someone can instruct me. Maybe they needed Kentucky jerseys, I don't know.

The technical foul was awful as was some of the shots Drummond attempted. I don't want to see "Drummond, missed jumpshot" in the play by play ever, never, ever again. You're 7'10", 500 pounds - dunk it, lay it in or pass it.

This team is like a boat without a rudder.

With the size and athleticism we have we need to gobble up rebounds(what is mind boggling to me is that I think we're actually pretty good at getting offensive boards). Right now we're low on confidence and need to rally.

Part youth and part spinal stenosis, I'd say.

Neither condition will improve before the next game, unfortunately.

If AD leaves after the season, I can see him lasting 1-2 years in the NBA. Hope he stays and learns how to play basketball.

Your 'this team is young' excuse is conveniently ignorant. Another year will not help Oriahki's stone hands. Another year is not going to give Roscoe a consistent jumper. I don't see another hear helping or guards grow a few inches. Our problem has nothing to do with youth. We won it all last year when we were younger. We need a player who can create his own shot and take the ball to the hoop and finish. We had it last year, this year we don't.

Yes. Let's blame this on AO, neglecting the fact that he had 10 points despite sitting on the bench for nearly the whole first half.

As for people getting consistent jumpers, Kemba Walker says hi. I seem to remember his jumper not being impressive sophomore year. Players improve in all facets of the game as they get older.

Yeah he would only last 1-2 years? I get he frustrates you and he does the same with me..............but to say that is ridiculous. The proper reply is he "needs to stay as he as not yet grasped all of the fundamentals of the game. It's obvious he doesn't even retreat to his man after a hedge fast enough and tries to make steals when he shouldn't at his size. Stupid fouls cause him to be out of the lineup and dreadful shot selection takes us out of rallies. He will be good but at least another year under JC will make his career long and stroing from the beginning. 2 years more than likely would make him#1.."

Much better and much more thought out rather than making him a piece of your crap!

AO was awful as anyone else. To me Bazz and Lamb were pretty good and everyone else were not very good at all. AO let up more points than he scored and anyone, I say it again, that big getting 3 rebounds in 25 minutes is either not working hard enough or not working smart enough. And he got beat back on D consistently along with Roscoe, Andre and Tyler!!! The interior was the reason for defeat - awful job!! Small team continuously outworked them!

We won it all last year with a tough, experienced leader who carried the team on his shoulders. He was not able to do that until he became a junior.

Some players improve. Some. If you need examples of some who don't I can help you. And who's blaming AO? I'm simply saying after 3 years it's clear he is what he is and him becoming a senior isn't going to change that. Same for Roscoe. He is what he is. We also have guys like NG and TO. They may show some improvement, but all of these guys are role players. The championship made some of you think we had a roster of all stars. Can we win with them... yes. But not as primary options. We need a superstar, and one that can create his own shot and get to the rim consistently...like last year. Like when we had RIP. Like when we had Gordon. Looking at the roster, we don't have that...and it has little to do with experience or youth.

Someone is on crack. Big athletic 7 footers stay in the NBA for a long time. Tyson Chandler was how good for his first 5 years? Or the that was on the Knicks/Bulls for a bit.

This is dumb. At the very least, he can be Deandre Jordan. At best, he's Dwight Howard. To think an NBA team would give up on a 22 year old that talented is ridiculous.

To Fishy's point--I agree, but at the same time, this team should be a lot better than they are right now. This team doesn't play a team full of juniors and seniors every night, and when they do, it should at least be a competitive game considering the talent differencial. I went to the game today thinking it was 50/50, what I did not expect was to be blown out of our own gym.

It certainly helps to have a junior or senior leader, but a lot of these kids have now played almost 70 college games. I'm not saying they should have it all figured out, but they shouldn't look as disfunctional as they do at times, either.
