Their sign-up dates match as do their initial letter. I have seen this on two separate occasions.

Many, many people have the same sign-up dates for a few reasons -
1. About 80% of us came here from the previous board and signed in on or around August 15, 2011
2. After a loss (the men recently lost) or close game, we get flooded with an assortment of new fans, fans of the opponent, or trolls
3. We have to approve new users. We don’t always get to them until a few have accumulated and so approve them at the same time

As for the initial, it’s assigned by the software based on the handle. No conspiracy
