They're calling it 'Cameron North' for one main reason: ESPN is Duke's television partner, and they're heavily promoting said partner in the NYC area.
Meanwhile, ESPN is not UConn's television partner - they just own UConn's television rights, for cents on the dollar. Currently we're just niche programming for them; no need for them to go out of their way to boost us like they do for Duke, because we're not worth the time/effort/money to them. In fact, the sooner UConn athletics fades into the abyss, the better for ESPN's bottom line.
To Hell with ESPN.
The best we can hope for is for UConn to continue to win and to stay relevant despite the ten-plus years (!) of shade thrown our way from Bristol, while we fans continue to support them by watching the games and buying tickets. If we continue to do that, who knows? We might one day qualify to play in a Champions Classic, or on Big Monday...
