This is the official beginning of the end for a very, very bad guy.

The Mountain West sent a letter to their rep on the two main NCAA governing bodies basically asking him to find how long a rope they should order to hang Mark Emmert. There is just no way this oaf survives what's coming his way:

"Is it time for the presidents to seek new NCAA leadership or a new organization?" it reads. "The NCAA has evidenced decisions that focus on trivial and penalize our athletes. The salaries for the NCAA leadership are excessive and an embarrassment to the Mountain West schools. Their decision making is cumbersome and oblique."

The Mountain West has become my new favorite conference for a couple reasons:
1. This letter.
2. It doesn't consist of Tulane.

I'm only half-joking about Herbst trying to get UConn into this conference. Not only is the TV deal likely as good, but it appears the Mountain West's leadership is actually willing to go to bat for its teams.

Thanks goodness. It is about time. See ya Mark

If the person who wrote that is truly a university administrator, he should be embarrassed for the grammar, but then again...

In any scenario where the football schools ditch the NCAA schools from the MW will lose even more than they lose now, as pay for play will make their operation obsolete.

If the MW is in a position to break away from the NCAA, so are we. That's the impression I get.

That pretty much sums it up.
