Probably asked and answered [in double digits at least]

Is she eligible for an injury redshirt this year?

Given her variety of skills shown in high school and in very early games at UConn
I would think...if 100% healthy...she would have a very realistic chance to earn
solid rotational minutes at small forward...maybe developing into a taller Ashlynn Shade...granted
a high standard.

Yes she is eligible. She has not played at all this season.

Boy...time flies!
Thanks for the correction...I had forgotten her court time at UConn wasn't this season
but last. Can't wait to see a healthy Morgan come November 2026. I do love her endorsements...making some moolah
even with her absence.

I followed her a bit in high school, since AB Mitty HS happened to tape her games. There were good games against Jazzy’s team, and LuHi which featured Kayleigh and Syla Swords. And one against Kennedy Smith’s school.

She was the PG in her senior season and led the full court press on a pressing team. She had great passing skills and scored well. Her energy level on the court was really impressive. I think most opponents were intimidated by how aggressive she was at her size. She moved really well and had really good handles. She also lost a season to a leg injury.

One thing I didn’t see much of was her perimeter shooting skills. It caught me by surprise that once she got to Storrs, perimeter shooting became such a prominent part of her game. At Mitty, she ran the offense, which typically featured a high-low game with McKenna Woliczko, and she crashed the o-boards to get a lot of putbacks. I’d love to see that Morgan make a comeback next season, like a bigger version of Ash or KK or Kayleigh.

One last wistful observation: wouldn’t it be great if Morgan and Kayleigh could team up at the guard spots in their senior year? Picture it: a lineup of Kayleigh Morgan Allie Blanca Sarah + Olivia. That would be one aggressive lineup that could flip between big-ball and small-ball with a single substitution.
