Thanks Nan. I'm going to tread lightly out on a limb, and suggest that you had quite a time.

Nice pictures. These women appear to be as nice as one could hope for and represent UConn and themselves well!

They put on a good show, but you know they gotta be thinking....oh geez, we gotta go get our pictures taken with a bunch of old people. They're troopers.

If that is Natalie Butler, it does not appear to me that she needs to drop weight as others have suggested.

People were hugging the players like long lost grandchildren. I don't know how the kids kept smiling because a few of the fans were borderline clingy, IMO. I didn't notice any security but there were enough UConn folks around that someone was nearby if needed.

Natalie is the young woman in the black dress looking down at the woman talking to her. Her weight is fine.

Like being at their Aunt's/Grandma's at Christmas. Just smile.

It was the first time I had attended something like this and I was surprised that it was as large as it was - over 500 people.
I was made just a little uncomfortable by the amount of time and the sort of 'display' the players were put up to. I understand the importance to the program of these events both in fan access and financial support, but when the players entered they all went in pairs to stations around the space and initially were just sort of mobbed, but then the crowd was formed into lines for picture taking and it went on for what seemed like an hour. Initially the crowd around Breanna and Morgan was a little unruly and overwhelming - that was the one point I saw uconn staff really step in and move people back and into an organized line.

The players were amazing at keeping their smiles in place and being friendly, but it must be a pretty big ordeal for them.

The coaches were also available, but generally were roaming around a bit more and not quite so popular. And Meghan, Eric and Kerith were also there but the least mobbed of the group.

Security at a "LOVE FEST"? Perish the thought.

Sure. But I suspect that when you know that someone cares about what you do, and respects and admires you, you will put up with a bit of nuisance. I merely suspect this, as I've had no actual experience in such a realm. :-)
