He could have succeeded. He was getting chances and he was doing well with them. All it takes is one great situation to land a guaranteed contract. Unfortunately, nobody will touch him with a 10-foot pole now. But that's not as important as just getting his head right.

Saw Jeff out at Liberty Hotel out in Boston 2/3 weeks ago... I forget how big someone who 6' 7'' the people he was with were not happy at all to be out with him.

I'm just guessing there was something there in every stop, to make them not keep the kid. He could a way to give really good minutes for a part timer so at some point you would think he would stick. But if some of what we are seeing now was rearing it's ugly head and scared them all away maybe we now know why.
