More absurd...Duke ahead of UConn or Ohio State at #4?

Whats even more absurd to me is that Duke ran with the story and posted it on their web site. Didnt see the story on tOSU site but maybe soon?

Both are equally absurd. UCONN played Duke last year and beat them handily. UCONN has one of the best freshmen classes in it's storied history. But they want to rank Duke ahead of us? Ok. Can't wait to play them. Of course, it's Athalon. I also think Tennessee at 25 is absurd. and OSU shouldn't even be in the top 10. Miami at 15 is kinda funny too! And Rutgers should be somewhere between 12-18.

Neither Duke or Uconn are the same as last year. Duke had 2 of it's best players out for the Uconn game. You can always make the point that Uconn's freshman haven't done anything yet, so you give Duke a slight nod. They are loaded. Baylor is an easy #1, I think Uconn and Duke are above everyone else but Baylor, I still give an edge to Uconn, because like most people we think the freshman will have a great impact & we have Geno and they don't. Ohio State has great guard play, but I'd throw them in a mix with 6-10 other teams for the other final four slot preseason.

Ohio State will be nowhere near the final four. Taylor Hill is tremendous but this will be a challenge for them at point guard after 4 years of Sammy P.

Which two players? Wells? Henson? Henson was a freshman last year and has yet to play a minute of college ball. Why would she have made a difference last year yet UConn's freshmen won't this year? I don't think Henson would've changed the outcome of last year's game; same with Wells. Duke lost because Stokes replaced Dolson (limited to 13 mins w/ fouls) and outplayed Williams, and Duke as a team shot 25% for the game. Duke had a great opportunity to knock off UConn -- UConn didn't play all that great offensively (too many TOs) and the crowd at Cameron was great -- yet it still couldn't pull off the win. Duke still has much to prove when it comes to winning big games. The talent is there.

Handles and I have talked about Agee since she was skinny and raw and I did not understand why we did not hound her being in our backyard, I feel she will make quite a splash as a freshman.
