Neither Duke or Uconn are the same as last year. Duke had 2 of it's best players out for the Uconn game. You can always make the point that Uconn's freshman haven't done anything yet, so you give Duke a slight nod. They are loaded.
Which two players? Wells? Henson? Henson was a freshman last year and has yet to play a minute of college ball. Why would she have made a difference last year yet UConn's freshmen won't this year? I don't think Henson would've changed the outcome of last year's game; same with Wells. Duke lost because Stokes replaced Dolson (limited to 13 mins w/ fouls) and outplayed Williams, and Duke as a team shot 25% for the game. Duke had a great opportunity to knock off UConn -- UConn didn't play all that great offensively (too many TOs) and the crowd at Cameron was great -- yet it still couldn't pull off the win. Duke still has much to prove when it comes to winning big games. The talent is there.
