Feel awful for 'Yell.......just not enough spots for all the ex-Huskies who still want to be part of the program, hopefully his time will still come!!

I kinda do to. IIRC, he was one of the few guys to give back in a monetary way. I wonder if the campaigning did more harm than good.

I've followed Donyell on Twitter, and he's still a big UConn supporter. From the outside, you can't know how various alum personalities compare, how they get along with KO, how hard they work, etc. But it would have been nice to have a big guy on the staff. We're really "Point Guard U" now with KO, Hobbs and Ricky.

From Kevin to Kevin, it's all Huskies on the bench!

It's not like there was an actual opening on the staff. It's the same staff, just with different roles for Blaney and Moore.

Technically, there is an opening for Donyell, if he wants to be assistant director of basketball operations. That might go unfilled, though, and it would mean he isn't allowed ac practice.

Point guards everywhere, Ollie, Hobbs, Ricky, if Donyell had some PG skills, who knows?

So who's coming off the road recruiting since you can only have 3 out on the road? I'm guessing it's Miller. So that would make 3 former UConn guards (Ollie, Hobbs and Moore) as UConn's recruiters.

My guess is that the four of them will rotate, with Ollie being more of a fixture and the three assistants rotating.

I don't want to make this a racial discussion, but it's basically a given in modern college basketball that you have at least one white coach recruiting and one black coach recruiting, unless we're talking about an HBCU or something.

The move gets UConn another young recruiter out on the road. Moore, 37, will hit the road in July.

Lots of schools visiting A. Hill right now. I hope Ricky/Ollie are making a BIG impression on the kid.

Maybe when Blaney finally leaves down the road that will open up a spot for Donyell

He is 73 for chrissakes, has he been here 10 years yet to get the State health retirement benefits? Time to let someone else have a shot.
