Moore Becomes Assistant Coach

has become a fulltime assistant coach and assumed all appropriate duties, including player coaching during practice and games, as well as complete recruiting status.

George Blaney, who just completed his 12th season with UConn, remains on the staff as a special assistant/advisor to the head coach.

disappointing to read, of the alumni nobody reps UConn harder than Donyell

so in Amore's article he mentioned that Moore is connected and has recruiting contacts in the Southeast, we already know Hill and KO have a good relationship, with RM being from Augusta hopefully this can put us over the top in landing Hill and hopefully Gant.

A bit bummed out over this. Donyell has been a great ambassador for the program. Wish there was a way to keep him happy and find a spot for him on the staff.

Me too - just hard to make room for everyone from that era. For his sake, I wish he had developed more of a post game in the pros instead of becoming a corner 3-pt specialist. A good big man coach is hard to come by and he would be more marketable. Perhaps we win another in 2006 or 2009 if Clive/Clyde didn't have an extra $10 in his pocket, but we will never know. You can coach big men as a former guard (Dukes entire coaching staff has been former Duke point guards for years), but someone who has done it themselves and can get in there in the trenches in practice is that much more effective.

The Iowa State ass't that was rumored to be close to Ollie may be part of the NCAA investigation at Iowa State. Apparently, several ass't coaches are being looked at for overzealous texting and phone calls prior to the rules change.

Can't do that. You just can't. The head coach showing up is a necessary card in the deck to let a recruit know you're really serious about him. Would make more sense to pull Miller off the road, since his recruiting experience is mostly in the Ivy League. Let him be a tactician.

Feel awful for 'Yell.......just not enough spots for all the ex-Huskies who still want to be part of the program, hopefully his time will still come!!
