Monday (3/25): NCAA 2nd round games

I feel like NC State will pull away at some point, but KY's defense is bothering them.

Yes...it has. State doing much better on the boards the last couple of minutes.

UCLA-Maryland is a good game, both teams really going at each other.

Dean has kind of shaky handles for a point. I've seen her lose her dribble a couple times w/ no or hardly any pressure from the defense.

Super-entertaining game at Syracuse. The Jacks went on a 13-0 run late in 3Q and now lead by 6.

I tell ya, this SDSU team is a joy to watch. All you folks who like fundamental, high-IQ basketball should be watching this.

Nice sequence there. Maryland gets away with a big shove in the back so they get an O board, then Mikesell on the drive was tied up. She came back down and then went back up with it for a layup. That HAS to be a jump ball or a travel, one or the other.

Syracuse turns up the pressure, gets a couple steals and ties the game up.

edit--up 2 now. That was a fast 8-0 run for the Orange.

.-.
NC State and Kentucky exchanged THREEs right before the 3rd quarter horn...Wolfpack up, 53-48.

BIG three by Kentucky to cut the lead to 5 going into the 4th

Should be a fun 4th quarter :)

UCLA-Maryland Q3 very good. Punch and counterpunch, no fear.1 point difference so far.

Wow, that's what live ball turnovers in the full court press will do. Syracuse scored 8 points in less than a minute and I don't think SDSU even got the ball past halfcourt in that sequence.

How is NC st staying competitive with all these injuries never thought they would be here

.-.
Kiara Leslie taking over in the 4th quarter...up to 22 points now. NC State up 58-48. Timeout Kentucky

UCLA had been doing a good job of keeping pace most of Q3 w/ a surging Maryland, but lost it a bit the last 60 seconds or so. And some serious home cookin' from the refs. 2 UCLA players got leveled in one sequence w/ no whistle.

What an awful call on Frasier

The girl clearly fell

It was a bad call, but Maryland has gotten away with hacking UCLA 3 or 4 other times w/ no call, so it's not even evened up.

UCLA 66 Maryland 71. End of Q3 on a last second layup by Terps.
Let's not forget Onyenwere getting "fouled" by Frazer when she obviously slipped.

Kentucky needs more shooters. I like the way they play but not enough of them on that team outside of Morris and Howard.

Maryland is more than ahead in the bad calls/no calls in their favor department, let's be honest.

Maryland is lazy with their defensive rebounding. No one boxes out, its insane.

Austin missing the wide open layup just opened the door.

Is Lin Dunn no longer with the Kentucky coaching staff?

Big review in the Syracuse-SDSU game on an out of bounds call. SDSU is up by 5 with 1:40 to play.

.-.
6-0 run by UCLA to start Q4 to regain the lead.

Maryland chucked a player out of bounds to get another O board, no call. Bruins are getting hosed.

Up 9 w/ 35 seconds left, Jackrabbits are doing this!
