Isn't Baylor's Alexis Jones eligible for the draft since this is her fourth year in college?

She sat out a year due to transfer. She is eligible, just as Morgan is eligible, I believe. But my guess is that Alexis is sticking around Waco for another year.

Give upthe well for the 2nd pick, have Moriah with Sue, and Stewie for a couple years.
Good call!! Moriah is once in a lifetime both sides of the ball super dominant. Coach can just flip the switch and instantly shutdown Jewel and most other gaurds. Even when her victim flips on their back and scratches, slaps and claws, she relentlessly paints herself to her PREY. And she has that extremly reliable three ball that she uses so judiciously.

Has no one considered that the Sun could package 3rd and 4th pick for SA number 2? Sun get a superior point guard, which they desperately need (and SA doesn't) while Sun doesn't need another big -- especially one with a chronic injury.

Of course, if they know Mo won't be SA's pick, then none of this applies.

The two picks are too high a price for the #2. If Ct really wants Moriah, they might involve a third team, trading one of the two draft picks (going to SA) , with current roster members being traded among the three teams.

I like your thinking. I am hoping that the lure of getting a chance to win a NC in front of her friends and family next year in Dallas will convince her to return.

I would try to package #4 with a player to move to #2 - personally I think Thomas is superfluous to their needs and might be appealing to SA, though I think that might be more than necessary and they might something else in return. I think there is a good chance that SA does not want to select Moriah and might take a little PR hit if they don't bring a Texan back to Texas so they might be more willing to make a trade back one or two spots.

New Dishin & Swishin coming 3 pm ET on Hoopfeed.com today, with ...

MORIAH JEFFERSON as my first guest....then

LIN DUNN on Moriah's WNBA potential, and Banham as well.

Why would anyone take that trade? Maybe Jewell and next year's #1 and another player.

I know y'all aren't high on Jewell but...

"I would say everyone played well," Taurasi said of this gathering. "But from the last camp to this camp, Kayla McBride and Jewell Loyd really have taken that next step, I feel like, in their careers. They've gone overseas, they're starting to be very sure of their games, and I feel like their next couple of years, you're going to see special things from those two." (emphasis mine)

DT seems to think Loyd is headed in the right direction.

I think Loyd improved over the course of the year and could be a superstar. It would be a gutsy move to trade her. I just think that Seattle might need Moriah more than they need Jewell. And we know that Moriah can play with Stewie and Kaleena.

That's interesting to me. Why do you think that?

To me, Jefferson and Bird are both true PGs, so I would think they'd be somewhat redundant as I don't know how well either can play the 2. From just a positional standpoint, I would say Seattle needs a wing more than a point guard. If you think Bird is just about done, that changes the equation, but it seems to me that Bird intends to play for a few more years.

At least last season, sue was taking some games off if I remember correctly - not injured, just resting. Her years are somewhat numbered, and Jefferson could have a couple of years as a co-leader of the team and playing some off guard with Sue. That said, trading Jewel is a crazy thought.
