Of the experts on MLB Networks comped him with Don Mattingly.

Yankees have 7 players on the list. I am not surprised to see Judge drop to #45.

In the Top 5:

Sox have BEnintendi at #1
Yanks have #3 with gleyber Torres.
Mets have Amed Rosario at #5.

Certainly not surprised at all on Judge but I am surprised Moncada is so high. He was overmatched when up last year and even his minor league stats show a high propensity to K. 12 of 19 in the bigs was crazy though and small sample or not, it's an issue. But I guess he has the tools.

I think struggling so much is a good thing in a small sample size. The talk is that he was humbled and has worked much harder than he previously has. Whether he pans out or not remains to be seen as baseball is a weird game.

It was funny seeing Keith Law have like 6 Mets in his top 100 and MLB Network have only 2. Hopefully Law is more accurate :)

Agreed. Judge dropped from 38 to 45 because he struck out 40% of the time in a cup of coffee at the big league level. Moncada stays at #2 despite striking out over 50% of the time in a smaller cup of coffee. Granted, Moncada hasn't had even one AB at the ML level, but he struck out 36% of his ABs in AA.

.-.
Yanks have a kid named Jordan Montgomery who was a 4th round pick out of the Univ. of South Carolina.

Just turned 24 and has shot through the system starting 6 games in AAA (5-1). His number are amazing. His K/BB ratio are very impressive.

Watch him this spring tho I am sure he'll start in Scranton-WB. He's not in Top 100.

Anticipating the Yankees’ next young pitching duo
