...except that he's a better rebounder, passer, and ballhandler than Williams, and an elite defender to boot. And he's one of the hardest workers you'll find.

Seriously, did people even see MKG play or are they just basing their opinions off their hatred for Calipari? He was EASILY the second best freshman this year, and while he might not have quite as much upside Drummond (no one besides Davis does in this year's draft class), he is a much, much safer bet.

MKG has very good talent, and he will work himself into being a player in the NBA. I could understand why some people would prefer Drummond at #2, but it wouldn't be a bad pick to take MKG over him.

You could be 100% correct 990411....but I just think at the next levels there plenty of guys his size that do the same things and as well. Will he be a contributor? More than likely yes but how much, just not sold on his "star" ability....we'll see. Of course I feel the same about Andre quite honestly!!!

Mauconn why are you encouraging 990411. Like I said MKG will be a role player in the NBA he doesnt have star potential or qualities. He will be lucky to be a Marvin Williams. You already know this hes a workhorse but the stuff he did in college will not work in the NBA, and his shooting mechanics are brutal, and hes an average athlete. Everyone in the Kentucky Fab 5 with the exception of Anthony Davis are all bench players or role players. Doron lamb being the worst prospect out of all them.

Despite Drummond's offensive limitations he should definitely go number 2 in the draft based on his athleticism, size, and quickness. Drummond can elevate teams like an Andrew Bynum when he fully develops. Gilchrist will never be able to do that, he doesnt have it in him. Whoever takes MKG at number 2 in the draft will be making a monumental mistake.

P.S. Calipari got an upgrade like I said with his new recruits coming in. The only slight downgrade is Noel, but even Nerlens can prove to be just as good as Anthony Davis was for them.

He will probably be the second coming of LeBron James then. He will certainly be better than Marvin Williams and there are plenty of very good players in the NBA with average athleticism (Kevin Love anybody?). You are right, he needs to work on his jumpshot.

You are comparing apples to oranges. KG is a 2/3 and KW is a combo with a heavy lean toward being a 1. If you try to compare KG's PG skills to KW then KW is better. Size also fits in here. KW is short and KG is more sized for a 2/3.

Posting bleacher report articles should trigger an auto-ban

I agree. The only thing worse than reading the bleacher report is posting an "article" from it.

It is equivalent to posting a comment from an opposing message board and asking people their thoughts.

Seriously, MKG was overshadowed by Davis. MKG had an outstanding season, let alone the fact he was a freshman. Didn't he have a 20/20 game as a small toward?

Maybe because he agrees with me, and not you?

I know you think you're a borderline duck*ing scout, but there's a reason you're posting your opinions on a message board like the rest of us.

24 pts 19 rebs against Louisville during the regular season. Not too shabby. The NBA scouts think he's fairly athletic fwiw.
